Good morning Cape Breton,

Maximus Handsomius reporting in from my Forever Home.

I got to go for some long drives yesterday. First, went to Country Co-op where the Big Guy took me into the store. I had EVERYONE's attention. Pretty soon, I am going to be eating my new Giant Dog Puppy Chow. The plant is in Guelph Ontario. So I will be eating Canadian food. For every 10 bags of food, we get the 11th bag free. We also get Air Miles and the Big Guy seems to be all about the Air Miles.

Then we went to the SPCA. Can you see my new tag in my picture? Well they are really special people. They all come out to greet me. Although some couldn't touch me. They were trying to help other doggies and cats that were not feeling well. They asked the Big Guy to bring me back every two weeks so they could see how big i am getting. Not sure he is going to do that as it is a bit of a drive to get there. It's way over in Whitney Pier. It's just over a 1/2 hour one way.

Yesterday I got to see WandaJohn Nicholson, Diane Hatcher, George Sibley, and Patricia Brown at work. Eric came out too and gave me a quick scratch.

Later on in the evening, as we are walking up the driveway, a car drives by, stops, backs up and parks in the driveway. I thought it was someone looking for directions. Turns out, it was Cynthia Johnston and her man, Kevin. She told the Big Guy that she is STALKING ME! She has been driving by hoping to get a glimpse of me. She said that I am so much more handsome in person. That the photos just doesn't do me justice.

Today, I am supposed to go visit Uncle Rolly and Aunt Lynn Clarke. June Clarke Williams is visiting and they all want to see me in person.

There was a big due at the North Sydney Firehall last night, but I couldn't go. Uncle George and Aunt Sis have been married for 50 years. People were saying that I could have been snuck into the Firehall. I am not sure of the rules there, but pretty sure it would be "no".

Yesterday was the first day that the Big Guy and I were home alone together. I slept most of the day. He thinks that is great.

I am playing a really fun game with the Big Guy right now. Last night, I got one of his slippers and I pretended that I have lost it. He was wandering around the house with only one slipper on. He got fed up and put his one slipper away and is wearing his sneakers right now. He said that the floor is cold. Not sure what he means by this as I love the cold floor on my belly. Then again, he doesn't wear a fur coat all the time.
