Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. Here I am, about to pop my collar off so that I can run free. But they caught me and I wasn't able to run around naked. The Fast and Furious gang showed up across the street. They think that they are all that and a bag of chips. They all drive little cars that make a lot of noise. They are nothing like the people that are in the movie. The Big Guy seen what a little car looks like when it gets into an accident. He is glad that he is driving a much bigger car. We went for a nice walk yesterday. I was pretty tired when I got home. But that is what the Big Guy wants. Is for me to be tired and NOT bounce and around and do puppy stuff. Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. So as you can see in this picture, I am taller than Tonya. There was so many visitors yesterday. Of course Linda and Jerry are visiting from Winnipeg. But later in the day, my non-furry Memere came for a visit. She brought her neighbor Fran with her for the drive. She lives in Moncton New Brunswick. Then, Floyd, Mylynne and Colby came for a visit. WOW! I have all kinds of friends out there. They had some of the Big Guy's ribs. Boy did they ever have a treat. But Colby left all kinds of meat on his ribs and guess who got to enjoy that. ME! They were so good! The Big Guy did two sets of ribs. One was with a sugared rub and a sugared BBQ sauce. The other, no sugar. There was lots of sugared ribs for those folks that are not doing the Keto Way Of Eating. Have you seen the Big Guy lately? He has lost 34 pounds. That is more than 1/3 of me. Yesterday Linda, Jerry and Tonya went to South Bar, Victoria Mines, Donkin, and other places. Can you believe, they left me home? Today, they are going to go visit The Cabot Trail and they are leaving me home. Not enough room in the car. OK, I do take up some room in the car. Well, a lot of room in the car. But they better bring home pictures for me to enjoy. Talking of pictures, here is the pictures from January 2017.

Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. Yesterday when Linda and Jerry took me out on the deck, it was so warm outside, they didn't have to wear their jackets. They sat outside for a long time. But I was so warm. Jerry got me a bowl of water and then I promptly knocked it out of his hands. I can be an ass like that. Last night, they went for a walk, but the Big Guy, well his knee was really sore. He only managed a little walk with me. But Linda, Jerry and Tonya went for a bigger walk. When Tonya got home, she got me a small bowl of water. Of course, I had some, then dumped it out and ran away with the bowl. I wouldn't want people to think that I wasn't an ass. My non-furry Memere is coming for a visit and she is taking Fran with her. She was nice. I wonder what they are going to think of me. I am mostly grown up now. I bet they are going to talk and talk and talk. I will have to be bad to get their attention. Linda and Jerry got the Big Guy this gaming headset. He is all happy with it. I am pretty sure that Tonya is going to be happy with it. Now, he will be able to play his games and she will not have to listen to the BOOM BOOM BOOM of the base coming thought the TV. Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. I get to play with Linda and Jerry. They seem pretty nice people. They will play with me a lot. But because I am so strong, they can't walk me. I tend to take off and I will not listen to verbal commands too much. They ask me to sit, and I will ignore that. Unless they are holding an apple, then I will sit. It has to be on MY terms, not theirs. I think that my non-furry Memere is going to be coming down for a visit tomorrow. Then she will be leaving on Saturday. I will have to try to be a good boy, otherwise, Tonya will be putting me in my house (Other word for "kennel"). I don't make it easy for her. Yesterday she got my collar and I thought she wanted to play tug-of-war. I found out the difference when she put me in the kennel. Yesterday the Big Guy got on the scaled and he is down to 366. So that is 34 pounds lost. I am so glad for him. They also went to see the Dr and he is pretty happy with the test results. Everything came back normal or in the improved area. Only one item is concerning him and that is his sugar. It was 6.2. But they both agreed, with more weight loss, means that he will be out of the danger zone. So yesterday was my October pictures. Today is the November pictures.

Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. First off, I need to apologize to Jerry. I was spelling his name incorrectly. I thought it was short for Gerald. So Gerry. But it's Jerry, like Jerry Seinfeld. So I got to see Linda and Jerry. They are both so nice. They didn't realize how big I am. They both said that the pictures don't do me justice. I also got a new leash. Not a metal chain one that the Big Guy wanted to get, but a nylon one. I can still chew on it. But it's kind of a yellow/orange leash. Apparently it glows when car lights hit it. But it's a harness and leash in one. It is a lot easier to put on than my other leash. The Big Guy liked it as it gave him a lot of control over me. We only went for a short walk yesterday. The Big Guy didn't want to overwhelm Linda and Jerry with a long walk. Now, perhaps they could have walked the longer walk. I guess we will not know just yet. Linda had spaghetti squash for the first time last night. She said that she wants to have a lobster. Not sure what that is. I hear it has claws. Aren't paws better than claws? So this is my October collections of pictures. Pretty soon, we will be all caught up in the pictures.
Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. Later today, I know that the Big Guy has to go get Linda and Jerry from this place called, The Airport. They are going to fly here from Winnipeg. That is over 1/2 way across Canada. I wonder if I could walk there? On last night's walk, I got my picture taken. We went to the Pierce St Dairy so get the lottery tickets. While I was outside with the Big Guy, there was a couple that was going to the store. Well she asked if she was allowed to take a picture of me. She thought that I was BEAUTIFUL and that I was too beautiful to be a male dog. Then, as we were walking towards home, I seen the love of my life. Her name is Trixie. She is a Bernese Mountain Dog, just like me. She was in the back of a SUV. But they stopped to talk with Tonya and the Big Guy. The Big Guy said how well behaved she was. The lady that was in the SUV took notice of my BIG PAWS. I so wanted to get into the back of the SUV with Trixie. She is a lot smaller than me. But wasn't she beautiful. Now there's a Swiss Miss for you. pant pant pant... woof woof I hope I made a good impression and hope to see her again. Perhaps after they get the fence installed in the back yard, she may wish to drop by for a visit. Cue up the song, "Lets Get It On" by Marvin Gaye.
As we were getting about 2 blocks from home, I got to meet another dog. He was much older. But he was friendly. I think his owner said he was 11 years old. He had a lot of grey around his mouth and feet. I kept trying to put my paws on his head. Pretty sure he didn't like that. I am pretty sure that it's time to show my October picture collection.

Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. So the snow that we got yesterday, it melted. But I did see a friend of the Big Guy post a video of where he was outside with his John Deere lawn tractor with the snow blower attachment, blowing the snow. The Big Guy just let his snow melt. We also got to go for a walk, later in the day. We did a new route and I got to sniff new stuff. Tonya was so worried as there was broken glass where we were walking. Not sure that the Big Guy is going to take me in that direction again. If he does, it will be via a different direction and one that doesn't have broken glass along the way. But during our walk, I got to see Colleen, that's Geoff's mom. Plus, I also got to see Joanne, that's the Big Guy's Doctor's wife. She was out walking by herself. Tonya says that she walks about 8 to 10 km a day. So far, the Big Guy is lucky if he can walk about 1.5 km. His knee gets pretty sore when he does walk that far. The Big Guy was hoping to keep his weight under 370 this weekend and guess what... He did it! I am so proud of him. He hopes to loose 200 pounds in the next few years. One more sleep and Linda and Gerry are going to be here. I bet they are going to stay up late watching TV. The Big Guy always gets up early. So he is going to have to keep quiet. No worries, I will bark to make them get out of bed. They were hoping that they will be able to go drive The Cabot Trail. The Big Guy is going to have to upload his dash cam to YouTube for people to see what the drive it like. Bye bye for now.

Why is it snowing this late in April? Yes, I know that I live in Canada, but isn't Spring here? I can see the flowers coming up when we go for walks. Tonya says how pretty the flowers are and I am told not to walk though the flowers.
The Big Guy keeps saying how he is going to get me a chain leash. That should stop me from biting on the leash when we first start out walks. Yesterday we only went for a short walk. The Big Guy's knee was really sore, but we still went. Tonya says how proud she is of him. Today, he has to build this bacon weave sandwich thing. I wonder if he is going to video tape it? If yes, he has to clean up the kitchen a little bit first. Tonya made supper last night and there is stuff in the sink that has to be put away first. The Big Guy was SO happy that she made supper last night. His knee was really hurting him. I wonder if it's because of the snow? He says that when a storm is coming in, his knee will let him know. Only 2 more sleeps before my non-furry sister comes for a visit with her husband Gerry. I hope they like big dogs. If they decide to sit on my love seat... there's going to be an issue...

Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. Oh wait, I do NOT have a rubber chicken after about 10 minutes.
So much for that $3.00. I wonder what she is going to buy me next? We only went for a short walk yesterday. The Big Guy's knee is really sore. But as he continues to loose weight, we should be able to go for longer walks. I got to meet a new doggie last night. She was nice. Her owner thought that she owned a big dog. That was until she met me. Her dog was about 75 pounds. I am taller than that. I tried to sniff her a few times and she didn't like that too much. She showed me her teeth. Yesterday the Big Guy made breakfast for Tonya and she didn't see it in the microwave. When the Big Guy gets up, he turns on his computer and then puts on the coffee. He will pour himself a coffee and then put the remainder of the coffee in a thermos. Otherwise the coffee would be stale and burnt by the time Tonya gets up. So when she got up, she normally pours herself a coffee and puts it in the microwave. Well this time, she found the coffee was hot enough. So she didn't see the breakfast that the Big Guy did for her. Last night, when she got home, she wanted a coffee. Of course, that is when she seen the breakfast. So she heated it up and put it in my food bowl. So I had scrambled eggs and fried bologna. I have posted the pictures of June, July and August. This is the September video.
Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. Yesterday the Big Guy and Tonya took me for a route march. I was pretty tired when I got home. I got to walk past Krystal's house. She works with the Big Guy. You should see the nice trim they have in every window of their house. WOW! I could have so much fun chewing on that wood. It's coming up on Big Garbage. So this is where people put stuff to the curb that they feel they can't use, or sell in a yard sale. Other people will come by and pick though the stuff. The Big Guy was hoping that the dish washer would be gone by now. But it is still at the curb. The Big Guy is ALMOST at 369 pounds. So close. Not to say that after he does his bathroom business, he will be there. But last night, for fun, he got on the scale. It showed 373.1. When he got up this morning, he did his bathroom business and he weighted 370.0. Normally he weighs himself after his morning shower before going to work. We will see if the scale moved. I have shared my June and July photos. Today it's my August pictures.

Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. They are legalizing marijuana in Canada. Not quite sure what that will mean as Tonya and the Big Guy just don't have the lungs to be able to smoke up. Yesterday Tonya and the Big Guy went to the Dr's office. Well he got back some GREAT numbers. He is on blood pressure medication for his hypertension. So for him, a normal reading would be 140/90. But yesterday, it was 110/70. He was so HAPPY! He is also hoping that this morning he will be in the 360's. Yesterday he was at 370.5. But they can't eat this morning prior to going to the lab for some blood work. So with that in mind, he is pretty sure, after he goes for his morning poo, he should be below that 370 mark. Did you see how cold it is outside? That's crazy. -7 in April in Canada. I don't live in Iqaluit. For those of you that don't know where that is. Go towards the North Pole. It's above the Arctic Circle. Are you ready for the next video collection of ME???
Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. Yesterday I didn't get to go for a walk. The Big Guy's knee was really sore and Tonya isn't feeling all that well. Also, it was really cold out for the humans. They have to put on jackets and gloves. Me, I just go outside as is. I think that the Big Guy is finished moving my videos over to my YouTube Channel. I heard the Big Guy is going to be frying some balogna for breakfast. I wonder how much I have to bug Tonya for her to give me some of her breakfast? She can be a push over at times. Did you notice how the balogna is getting smaller, but the price is staying the same. One time, they used to be able to buy a roll of balogna with a capital "B". It was almost so big around, that you needed a chef's knife to take a slice. Now, it's like you only need a paring knife. With the weather being so cold, the ground isn't thawing out. This means more delays for me to get the fence installed in my back yard. I wish that they could install it so that I could run around and play in the yard. To think, all the holes I could be digging. Only a few more days and the Big Guy is going to be getting my non-furry sister, and her husband, from the airport. They are going to be visiting for a week. I never met them before, so it will be nice to have new people to play with. I wonder if they could take me for a walk? I shared my photos from June of 2016. Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. The Big Guy has finished moving over all my videos to YouTube and has even created a few more. Each month, there is a collection of photos that he put together with music. This way, it will stay on YouTube for a LONG time. Not sure that I will be famous or anything like that. I hear that he will be doing a few channels. But they may not be of me. What else could me be doing? Did you see what he did last Saturday night? He was cooking beef jerky and afterwards, he turned on the self clean oven. WHAT A MESS! ... and the smoke. OMG!
They had to open the front and back door, hoping to get the smoke out of the house. The Big Guy got a new knee brace yesterday from Wal-Mart. It doesn't fit all that well. But he is still walking me. So good for him. They were complaining how cold it was outside. I didn't think so. When we were out walking, a lady came up to me and started patting me. She didn't know what breed I was. I am a Dog breed. What more do you need to know? Tonya told her that I am a Bernese Mountain Dog and that I am from Switzerland. Ah... I don't think so... I am from Bertrand New Brunswick, which is pretty close to Bathurst. It snowed last night. Not a lot. Just enough to remind us... HEY! You still live in Canada! It will snow here in April. This weekend, Tonya and the Big Guy will be putting stuff out for Big Garbage. I know that there is a lot of stuff that the Big Guy would love to put out. Stuff that will NEVER be used again. But some of it has sentimental value. Bye bye for now.

I get a lot of corrections that I have to do every time I am behind the keyboard. Did you see the new YouTube channel that the Big Guy has made for me? It's wonderful. It's filled with pictures of ME! He even allowed me to type out an introduction on every video. OK, so we will start with a collection of all the picture of when I was a little puppy.

Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. This one is really nice. I think I will keep her. The Big Guy created a new YouTube channel for me. He says that he has to move all my videos over to that channel and it's no easy task. It has to be done, one by one. BUT, once it's done, then I have to get subscribers. Oh well, we will see how that will work. But one job at a time. Then he will be able to "Brand" me. YIPPEE! My humans are inviting their family over for Easter dinner. The Big Guy is cooking up a ham right now. I can't wait to get into that bone. He always seems to give me the ham bone when he is done cutting up the ham. Nom nom nom. Then he is going to be cooking a turkey. I don't get to chew on the bones of the turkey. They always put those bone in the green bin. Talk about BORING... We went for a walk yesterday and as we were walking, someone stopped to say hello. They wanted to know, what kind of dog I am. Well I am a doggie dog. Tonya told him that I am a Bernese Mountain Dog. But my name is Max, not Bernese. What kind of stories is she telling people? The Big Guy is also going to be cooking potaotes, turnips, carrots, sweet potatoes, gravy and stuffing. He said that he can't have any of that stuff. At least not just yet. He says that he wants to loose 200 pounds in 3 years. He is down 27 pounds so far. So I want him to keep doing what he is doing to loose his weight. I want him to stick around for a LONG time. Here is a video of me playing with the Big Guy. Hope you enjoy it. Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. You should see outside right now. The sun is up and there is frost on everything. It would be so much fun to have the fence installed so that I would be able to run around the back yard. You can tell that spring is here. The "boys" are getting out their sports cars and are doing stuff to be noticed. Yesterday some kid did a big burn out across the street from us. The parent will not do anything to correct this. They say it's because it's not their son that's doing the burn outs. But sometimes, you MUST be the parent and tell your child, these people are not good for you. They are bad and you will be judged by the people that you hang out with. Oh well, they could be in an accident some day and then their car will not work. Tomorrow is Easter Sunday and we are going to have company over. The Big Guy will be cooking potatoes and other stuff that he can't have. But he can have Turkey and Ham. Also, he can have salad. Lots and lots of salad. He isn't impressed with salad. He says, that's what you feed his food. Did you look at the picture above? My head is bigger than Tonya's head. I got a big head. We went for a walk yesterday. It was fun. I am pulling a lot on my leash. So much so that the Big Guy really has to pull to keep me back when I want to go some where. But I am a draft dog and my breed is made to pull carts. He keeps getting this idea about getting some sort of harness and putting Tonya in the garden cart for me to pull her around. Then when I am really pulling, he would sit in the cart for me to pull. He said that his garden cart will hold up to 900 pounds. So I better start being good on my walks. Bye bye for now.
Good morning Cape Breton. Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home. So last night, Tonya is really upset. She is trying to watch the hockey game and there is too many shows being taped on the DVR. Finally she had enough and stopped taping the Big Bang Theory so that she would be able to watch her hockey game. The Big Guy went to bed at the end of the second period of the game. Turns out the team she was rooting for, ended up loosing anyways. The other team was expected to win and they did. So everyone seems to be upset that this guy got bumped off this airplane. The Big Guy says that they should stop listening to what is going on Facebook, and they should read the fine print on their ticket. I bet people would be really upset if the police were to ticket anyone that goes just a little bit over the speed limit on the highway. I am talking about 101 kph and you get a ticket when the speed limit is 100. Would it be dumb? You would think so, but your still speeding. Today is Good Friday. A very long time ago, there was a guy that was getting a lot of other people upset. They put him up on a cross to die. He lasted a couple days before he passed away. I didn't get to go on a walk yesterday as the Big Guy had to work late and I am too hyper for Tonya to walk me. I jump and pull when I am on my leash. My non-furry Memere said that they should watch Ceasar Milan to see how to walk me. I wouldn't get to sniff anything if I had to walk with that guy. I am glad that the Big Guy lets me sniff stuff when we are out. I heard him tell Tonya, when I am sniffing stuff, it gives him a "little rest" from walking. But then he wants to go and he gives my leash a tug. So I walk a bit until I get something new to smell. That gives him another "little rest". Bye bye for now.
