Yesterday Tonya went to Canadian Tire and got the Big Guy a new lawn mower.  Yes, he does own a lawn tractor, but he needs the smaller lawn mower so that he can do the trim work around the yard.  Otherwise, he has to go around with the weed wacker.  This isn't such a good idea.  He gets the power cord all stretched out and it will sometimes unplug while he is using it.

BUT, the Big Guy bought a new lawn mower blade last year.  So he is going to be removing that before he puts the old lawn mower to the curb.  He has found that there is a lot of people that will find and take these lawn mowers to fix and resell them.

But the lawn mower deck is rusting out and it has perforations right though the deck.  So grass is shooting up and though these holes when your mowing the lawn  It's only a matter of time before there is a lot more damage that happens.  Or worst, the motor falls right though the deck and on to the ground.  Now that would be dangerous if the lawn mower was running at the time.

Yesterday, Tonya cleaned the house while I would follow her around.  She kicked me out a few times.  Eventually we sat out on the front deck together.  She bought me a new lead for the front.

We got rats in our yard and they have been eating stuff out of the green bin.  There is a screen on the side of the bin that is missing.  So that is how they get in.  So the Big Guy put out some rat traps.  He got one of them.  But he also noticed that one of the traps is missing.  So he believes that he got one, but some other animal, like a fox, probably came to visit the green bin, seen the rat caught in the trap, picked up the rat and trap and took it back to it's family to eat.  Since the trap has been set off, there is no more damage that it can do.

I think that the Big Guy is going to get one of those rat traps, similar to the mouse traps that has the elastic bands.  That way, I will not be hurt by it if I get curious about the trap.  Those snap traps, well, I could set them off with my paw or my nose.  That would NOT be funny.
