Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Yesterday, around 4 pm, the heat and humidity finally broke.
The Big Guy went an took a seat out in the back yard. He actually had to put a shirt on, as he was not comfortable just sitting with his shorts on.
Last night, after watching a few movies, we all went and sat out on the front deck.
Because it's been so dry, the mosquitoes have pretty much "gone away". There was a couple, but not enough to get the Big Guy to want to come inside the house.
The Big Guy had also made a chicken pie yesterday. He also put the potatoe peelings in with the chicken bones.
That meant, when he put the bones and the skins in the "dumping" spot, the birds really couldn't see the bones.
Now, I know that those bones are there.
I'm just waiting for Tonya to forget herself and I will be able to get to the remaining bones.
Either that, or the fox may have come for a visit during the night and ate them all up.
Last week, Tonya put me on the back deck. I was doing little woofs. Tonya came outside to investigate.
There was a fox, just off the back deck, eating some chicken bones that the Big Guy had thrown off the deck.
As soon as the fox seen Tonya, he took off.
