Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The snow storm that we got on Sunday, dumped 39 cm of snow at the Sydney Airport. So that is the official amount that fell in our area.
Now, we have another snow storm for tomorrow. They are forecasting for 15 to 25 cm of snow. So, obviously the Big Guy would much rather it be 0 cm of snow.
There was some people that was at the Big Guy's work that was not prepared to deal with the fact that they were NOT closing during the storm.
The school children are woefully un-prepared for the "real world". Yes, it snows. Yes, it does make it difficult for those kids that are bused to school. But you would think, as an intelligent parent, if you knew that there was even a hint that your child wouldn't make it home due to a forecasted snow storm... then why are you blaming the school for you sending them there?
Anyways, the Big Guy was at work, and there was people that were getting quite upset that they didn't think they would be able to make it home safely. There was posts on Facebook about this store and that store that was closing for the day, due to the storm. Then when they were pulling taxis off the road, people were not reacting well at all.
So the Big Guy was saying, it is sad that school doesn't better prepare the children to deal with real world stuff.
Having said all that... tomorrow... will these new adults be ready for the snow storm?
