13/Dec/16 1st official snow storm for Cape Breton

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

We had our first "official" storm for the season.  The Big Guy was outside at 4:35 this morning.  He started shoveling the front steps, then moved to the back steps.  He brushed off the car and started the snow blower at 5:00 this morning.

Last year, Lorne, our neighbor told us, run that snow blower all night if you want to.  He understands that we need to go to work early in the morning.

So once the Big Guy confirmed that the city had plowed the street, he was outside himself.

The weather man said that we got 18 cm of snow so far and more is expected.  But it's also been raining through the night.  The Big Guy wanted to get out there ASAP so that he wasn't shoveling the wet HEAVY snow.  As it was, it was heavy enough.

But the snow blower certainly took care of the bulk of the snow.

Here is some early morning pictures from yesterday when it was so cold outside.

Do you see me hiding behind the car?  Peek-A-Boo!

The snow does make everything pretty.  But it's when you have to clean it up, that is what makes it BAD.

Pretty sure the folks that works at the ski resorts will be happy.

Bye bye for now.
