Good morning world.
Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Tonya told the Big Guy, she would like to have a turkey for supper this evening.
Now, I always have known the Big Guy to be accommodating when it comes to stuff like that.
A lot of people will thaw their turkey before cooking it. But that's because they want to stuff it.
Not the Big Guy. He cooks it from frozen.
He has seen, on some turkey's, on the packaging, they recommend that you cook from frozen.
Of course, your going to cook it a little longer, but that's to be expected.
The Big Guy also bastes his turkey. So, his white meat of the turkey, is always moist.
He feels that when the white meat of the turkey is dry, it's been over cooked.
NOW, if your going to use a turkey fryer. That has to be completely thawed. It can't have any liquid in the turkey at all.
Otherwise, when you put the turkey in the fryer, it will "boil over" and catch everything on fire. But that's because the water turns to steam and it froths the oil over the top of the pot. If your using a turkey fryer, it has a propane blow torch right under the pot.
Poof, fire. Dumb ass.
