7/Aug/18 I don't see any nickles on the ground

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

I seen the Big Guy coming down the stairs today, carrying a 2 x 6.  He was using it during the weekend to get leverage over the washer.  He needed it to be moved and needed a large cantilever to be able to move it.  Yes, it moved.

Now, he's got to move the 2 x 6 back to the basement.

There is supposed to be a risk of thundershowers today.  The Big Guy isn't falling for that.  Now, he can remember living in Winnipeg.  There, if the temperature would have been this hot, they would know to expect large hail with a wicked thunderstorm.

Yet the Big Guy remembers the summer of 2007, when they first moved to Cape Breton, he said that they were having thunder storms about every third day.  Since then, nothing has ever matched the amount of storms they had that year.  He can remember having to mow the lawn at least twice a week that year.  That's also when he had the push mower.  It used to take well over two hours to mow the lawn.  Now he can mow the lawn in about 30 minutes with his lawn tractor.

During that same summer, there was a lightening strike very close to the house.  It took out the power for about a 1/2 day.  The Big Guy said that the lightening strike was so close, that some of the lights in the house illuminated during the strike.  But it was also FLASH and BOOM.  It woke him up.

The Big Guy was telling me that he's going to be making his "Ultimate Meaty Spaghetti Sauce".  He has made this before.  It smells terrific.  But there is a lot of stuff that's in it that I can't have.  So, no sauce for me.
