Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.
So without rain, the grass doesn't do so well.
The Big Guy was looking at the forecast, and it does have rain in the forecast. But he's seen that before. Then it doesn't rain.
Yesterday was a very exciting day at my forever home. The Big Guy got to take a bunch of tools upstairs and he started making a hole in the wall. Now, not just any hole and not just any place. He needed to get access to the back of his washer and dryer.
Boy oh boy, did he ever make a mess.
After he was able to make the holes in the wall, he was also able to disconnect the old washer and dryer and then was able to get them out of the room that they were in. Sort of...
He had to get the dryer out, which he did with Tonya's help. But then when it came to the washer, well, he got stuck and had to sit in the closet for a bit.
Tonya brought him a chair, a fan and a BIG glass of water.
Eventually the delivery guys were able to make quick work of removing the washer and then install the new ones. Although the Big Guy had to do most of the hook ups himself. Which he was able to finish, using the hole he had created.
Tonya says, next renovation, they will be getting the hole professionally done and cleaned up. The Big Guy can't agree more with this. He has to do some trim work and put a piece of wood in the old hole. But Tonya wants to go to the beach today. So this work is going to have to wait.
Then again, it's so hot upstairs, I'm surprised that the Big Guy doesn't hire a contractor to do that anyways.
But he got some ideas on how to make it look nice. So we will see.
