9/Jan/18 knock knock let me in

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

For some reason, it snowed last night.  The Big Guy is normally always on top of when it's going to snow.  This kinda caught him by surprise.

It isn't that wet heavy snow from last week either.  This is that lighter snow that the snow blower doesn't have any problems with.  There has been times when he has been outside with the snowblower for a LONG time.  But he is actually taking more time un-clogging the snow blower than he is moving the snow.  But that's because is more of a slush snow.  He said that he HATES that snow.

But today, is the light and fluffy snow.

I would imagine, once Tonya gets up, he will be going outside to have some fun in the snow.  This could possibly mean that my walk will be delayed to this evening.  Oh well, better tonight than no walk at all.

Yesterday while we were walking, he came across a gentleman from the Coast Guard.  He was in uniform.  The Big Guy is dressed with his reflective jacket on and his ice cleats over his sneakers.  No the ice cleats also have reflective stripes on them.  So he's reflecting ALL kinds of light.  But the officer, well, he's dressed all in black.  Black jacket, Black touque, Black gloves, Black pants, Black boots.  NOTHING was reflecting on him.

So, the Big Guy was thinking.  If your in the Navy, they also dress you all in black.  When you fall over the ship's side (which doesn't happen that often), why would you want to be dressed all in black.  Why don't they dress their Navy guy in a uniform that can be seen when you fall over the ship's side?

Something to think about.

On to lighter thinking.  Word of the Day.  Today's word is:

Dight (verb)
[dahyt]

Definition: the clothe or equip

Sentence:  The sailors would soon dight their ship for the voyage to the New World.

My sentence:  The Big Guy is on a dight to loose some weight.

Bye bye fur now.
