28/May/20 this is a day that Stephen King would write about

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Well it's foggy out this morning.

I'm not sure that this picture does it justice to see just how foggy it is outside.

There we go...  These pictures are a lot better.

Now you can actually see how much fog there is.

Did you ever see that Stephen King movie, "The Mist".  Yea, this fog is thick like that.

Tonya was saying that the grass needs to be mowed.  Well, with the weather being what it is, the Big Guy isn't going to be mowing the lawn in The Mist.  Besides, it's a bit too early in the morning to get outside mowing the lawn.  Perhaps later this afternoon, once The Mist burns off.

Although you can't see it in this picture, you can see where that shed is in the last picture.  Well, on the Big Guy's side of the fence, there was a tree stump.  Well that tree stump has rotted away and the Big Guy used to put the ashed from his charcoal BBQ on top of the stump.  Well the stump has finally burnt away.  It left quite the hole in the ground.

The Big Guy has been trying to back fill the holes.  So he has been using stuff like potatoe peels, onions skins, other compost stuff.  Now bones and other stuff, well that goes in the green bin.  He finds that if mother nature will not eat it, it goes in the tree stump hole.  If mother nature will eat it, it goes in the green bin.  He uses the Sea Gulls to determine where each items goes.

Anyways, turns out, rats are not quite as finiky as Sea Gulls.  So the rats have been eating his potatoe skins, carrot skins, and other stuff that the Big Guy has been using to try to make compost to fill in the hole where the tree stump was.

So now, he has resigned himself to putting all the green bin stuff, even if it can be composted, into the green bin.

He does NOT want rats near his house.  Not at all.

He needs gravel to back fill the hole and then top it off the top soil and grass seed.  But then again, the rats that are still in the area, will likely eat the seed.  So, perhaps he may have to get grass sod instead.  I'm sure he will figure it out.
