6/May/18 it's time to play

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

The Big Guy is cooking a turkey right now.  So far, it doesn't smell too much like turkey.  It still has to cook for a bit.  He does this thing where it smells so good.  He cuts up an onion and puts that into the turkey roaster, along with celery and carrots.  So there is like a layer of vegetables at the bottom of the roaster.  Then he puts the turkey into the roaster and spices it up.  So now the vegetables have created a layer at the bottom for the turkey to rest on.

Now, he's going to cook that for about 3 hours.  Then he's going to take it out and take the turkey meat off the bones.  Then he will put the bones back in the roasting pan with the vegetables.  He will add water and boil the bones.  That and most of the skin.  He could feed the skin to me, but NO...  He puts it in the pan to be boiled.  He will boil the bones for about 3 hours.  After that, he will put the bigger bones and vegetables in the green bin.  He will put the skin and smaller bones out for the sea gulls to feast on.

Now that he's got the broth, he will make a gravy from that.  I've had his turkey gravy.  

OMG  

It's like THE BEST gravy ever.

I wonder if he would make dog biscuits from the this gravy for me?  I think that would be very tasty.

Tonya is going to have to go to the store later on and get some vegetables that they are not allowed to eat.  Stuff like potatoes, parsnips, turnips and the like.  They are going to have oven roasted squash and carrots.  If they make stuffing, they can't have that either.  But they can have about as much turkey as they want.  

That is all part of their Keto Way Of Eating.  It's like a meat-a-terrian's delight.  If your a vegetarian, then Keto WOE is NOT for you.  You would sorta starve.

It's forecasted to be nice out today.  So perhaps they will be sitting out on the deck today.  It's supposed to be +18.  Now, I know that the Big Guy would much prefer if it was +28.  Not me though.  I prefer the colder weather.  But that's because I wear a fur coat all the time.
