The on going saga of the washer and dryer.
The Big Guy had borrowed my non-furry brother's reciprocating saw once again. The door casing that isn't wide enough, is about to get some surgery today. It's going to be widened up.
Then, later on, after the dryer has been removed from the cubby hole, the Big Guy is going to be mounting a 2x4 on the ceiling.
He also purchased a lag bolt and will be installing a clothes line pulley on the ceiling.
This will allow him to lift and drop the dryer as required.
He said that the door that's there, is going to be going to the attic. That door will not be going back in place.
Then, after the washer is repaired, which will not be till this Thursday, he can tie a rope around the dryer, and then using the pulley, lift the dryer back in place. It will be so much easier than trying to man handle it in such an awkward space.
Now, during all this, do you think I'm going to be invited to help?
Ahhh... no...
I will be told, my biggest contribution will be to "stay the eff out of the way".
Yea... we will see if I stay out of the way or not.
