6/Mar/19 we need to talk about my treat allowance

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

This morning, the Big Guy is going to be going to the Ford Dealership and is going to getting his car serviced.  It's just a 6 month thing that he does.  When he had his old mini van, he used to get the oil changed about once a year.  He didn't know it had to be done every six months.

He is also going to be getting his driver's licence renewed.

The Big Guy has said it in the past, that older people, should be re-tested every 5 years to make sure that they are safe to be on the road.  So they would need to pass a road test.  You don't pass, well, your not going to be a licenced driver.  So you better sell your car and think about public transportation, or getting a cab.

Since not owning a car and not having to pay insurance, it may put extra money in people's pockets.  You don't need to pay for gas.  You don't need to pay for upkeep.

At some point, it will easier to hail a cab.  BUT, in the near future, these cabs will also be self driving.  

One of the guys from work say that they better be called "Johnny Cab".  Just like the cab driver from the movie "Total Recall".  They had also better have that same driver in the driver's seat.

The Big Guy agreed.  He would also chuckle when the automaton would say "Hell of a day!".

Yup, the Big Guy is in favour of self driving cars.  It will take a lot of idiot drivers off the road.
