8/Feb/18 can't we go for a walk

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

So the Big Guy got up this morning as he could hear some "thumping" noises outside.  Turns out, it was the snow coming off his neighbor's roofs.

Last night, it snowed here in Cape Breton.  We didn't get a lot of snow.  Only 4 to 5 cm.  Just enough to turn the ground White again.  Now, it's raining out really hard.  So we're supposed to get about 15 to 20 mm of rain.  That's just about an inch of rain.  So the Big Guy could hear the snow thumping into the ground off his own roof, but he didn't know what the other thumps were.

He has two neighbors who also have metal roofs.  The snow is falling off their roofs and is thumping onto the ground.  That's the other thumps that the Big Guy could hear.

See how there is rain falling and melting the snow.

I get to go to the Vet today.  She is going to change my bandages and let Tonya and the Big Guy know how much longer I've got to continue with these bandage changes.  Then, how soon after that, I will be able to go for walks again.

I get so BORED not being able to go for walks.

Well the Big Guy went to WalMart and he was able to get the stuff he needs to finish off that Game of Thrones puzzle he's building.  He is pretty happy with himself.  Yes, I will make sure that he takes pictures when it's all done.

OK, so on to the Word of the Day.  Today's word is:

Fipple (noun)
[fip-uh l]

My sentence:  A fipple is the little ball that you see on top of the antenna that is on your automobile.

Definition:  The mouthpiece of a recorder of similar wind instrument.

Sentence:  The fipple of his clarinet was dented where he has bit into it in excitement while the band played.

Today's Video of the Day is another one of mine:  Max our Bernese Mountain Dog dreaming about flying

Bye bye fur now.
