Good morning Cape Breton.
Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.
Do you see this bone that's in the picture? It used to be quite big. I heard that the previous dog that lived here, also had one of these bones. But he didn't pick it up and walk around with it. Nor did he managed to eat as much off of it as I have.
Although you can't see it, there is this other bone. It's hollow at each end and the Big Guy will stuff a treat inside the bone and then will put peanut butter or cheese whiz to keep the treat in place. That keeps me amused for about an hour. The humans like it, as I'm quiet.
So I went to the Vet yesterday. They changed my dressing and put new bandages on. As long as I got these bandages, I can't go for walks. This is annoying. I can imagine, the first day that I'm going to be allowed to go for a walk, the Big Guy is going to have such a hard time as I'm going to want to sniff EVERYTHING. Then I'm going to want to pee on EVERYTHING so that I mark my territory. That hasn't been done in a while now. So I'm going to have to have a HUGE drink before we go on that walk as I'm going to need a lot of pee that day.
Talking of the Vet. I guess they have found my blog and are reading it. I wonder if they found the passage where I was upset at the Vet for not allowing me to go for walks? I called her a bad name that day. Oh well, I will let them find it on their own.
I've gained some weight. Yesterday, while at the Vet, the Big Guy got me to sit on the scale. I'm up 4 pounds. I weigh 109 pounds. I was talking with the Big Guy and apparently, his second wife, well I weight MORE than what she did.
Then again, the ladies that works at the Vet. They don't weigh much more than I do. They mostly have a hard time holding me back when they take me from the back room, back out to the Big Guy. I just want to run away from the back room.
The Vet did say that my one leg is just about healed. The other leg, well it's coming along nicely. But I still need to have my dressings changed. The Big Guy would do my own dressing changes, but he doesn't know what he's looking at when he would be changing my dressings. I'm sure he could do the dressing changes. But he would rather leave it to the professionals at this point.
OK, so on to the Word of the Day. Today's word is:

[uhn-suh-nit, -neyt]
My sentence: When the Big Guy is talking to me and trying to train me, he will talk slowly and uncinate his words.
Definition: Of a part of the body having a hooked shape.

Today's Video of the Day is, one of my own videos: Max our Bernese Mountain Dog gets brushed
