Good morning Cape Breton.
Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.
I'm sure in other parts of Canada, they celebrated Canada Day outside. Not in Cape Breton. They would have all been inside. It rained quite hard. Not a deluge or anything like that, but enough to get my fur wet when I needed to go outside.
I can see the Big Guy's gears turning. He is looking to make some sort of Biggie Breakfast. Either that, or he is going to go to Subway for one of their breakfast sandwiches.
There is this tree that is in our back yard. It drops it's spores all over the back yard. Now, normally this stuff flies in the wind and goes everywhere. But due to the rain, the tree dropped most of it's spores all around the tree. Now, there is this wet carpet of mush all around the tree. That tree is one of three that will be meeting it's maker some day. Very likely when the Big Guy and Tonya get their money for their next set of renovations to the house.
There is a tree in the back yard, at the top of the driveway. Honestly, the Big Guy should have taken care of that tree when they first moved in. It was manageable then. Then there are the two remaining trees in the front yard. Both are in the front hedge.
There is also this huge tree stump that is on the side of the driveway. The Big Guy isn't really too worried about that. It seems to be rotting on it's own. Every so often, he will give it a push to make sure that the bottom isn't rotting out.
There is this black cat that comes around my yard. It has 4 white socks. This cat has a big belly. Which would indicate it's pregnant. Every so often, it gets caught on the camera. This makes the Big Guy smile, as he knows, the cat will control the rat problem that is around here.
