Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
The Big Guy keeps telling this story.
The Summer of 2007.
They had a lot of thunder and lightening storms.
About one every week or so.
They were intense too.
There would have been a lightening strike quite close to the house.
The entire house lit up.
The boom was almost instantaneous.
Then the power went out.
The next day, the Big Guy called it in.
It was fixed in a few hours.
But, the main part of this story.
The grass grew a lot that Summer.
So much so, that the Big Guy had to mow the lawn every week.
The lawn hasn't grown as much as it did that Summer.
But, today, it should be the last time the Big Guy is going to mow this year.
He will mow the front part and then take the fallen branches to the curb.
He can call 311 and the city will put him on a list to take the branches away.
Saves him from cutting them up and putting a bunch into the green bin, rinse and repeat for a few weeks.
Work smarter, not harder.
