Good morning Cape Breton.
Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.
I guess it's Thanksgiving week in Canada. It's supposed to be a long weekend for a lot of people. But for other's, well, not so much.
There are people in the Military that have to work. Police, fire fighters, Doctors, and Nurses.
Then there is the "invisible people". People that work in the service industry. Restaurant workers, corner stores, gas stations and the like.
Finally, people that work in call centers.
While your on holidays, and you call some company that your looking to engage with, now that you have time, it's those people that are working in the call center that can't be home with their loved ones because you are calling. Oh sure, you wish them a pleasant holiday, but honestly, if you just didn't call, they could be home as well. Same with the Tim Hortons that you are so desperate to have. All those service workers could be home as well, if only you would STAY HOME! They could be home too.

So it was Customer Service week, this past week. People in the service industry know this. Customers, are completely oblivious to this.
Myself, well, I don't care if it's Thanksgiving, or any other holiday. I just want to go for a walk. Then to lay around and enjoy the rest of the day.
