26/Oct/18 is this the yoga position called downward dog

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

So we're in for another rain storm this weekend.

Although it's nothing compared to what they are getting in the Pacific Ocean right now.  They have a storm with winds up to 290 kph.  That's 180 mph.

So if ever you watch NASCAR races on TV, those cars only go slightly faster.

At those speeds, roofs will be removed from houses.  Trees will not stand a chance.  What trees do survive, will likely have all their leaves removed.  Power lines will be none existent.  There is no Category 6 storms.  But if ever they had to make that scale increase, this storm would be on it.

So I guess you could say, I'm glad that I don't live in the Pacific.

Only a few more days till it's Halloween.  Then the small children will be coming to the door, asking for treats.  Last year, we got about 70 children that came to our house.  Normally that number doesn't change much from year to year.

There was one year, the Big Guy was talking with a lady at work, and she lives on the road that goes though down town, just near the yacht club.  She said that she had one child go trick or treating at her house.  She said that's about normal for her area.

My non-furry Memere said that when she lived in the country, it would be normal to get less than 10 children go to her house.  But she also lived about a 1/4 mile off the highway.  So for the kids to travel that far, they were really hoping to get a lot of candy.

We tend to give out a bag of chips, and a chocolate bar.  Tonya makes these grab bags for the smaller children.  So they get extra stuff, like a Halloween pencil, so special chocolate, chips and a chocolate bar, all in this little grab bag.  The teenagers that comes around, just a bag of chips and chocolate bar.
