9/Feb/22 what is it like to hibernate

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday was a mixed bag of weather.

It started off, cold in the morning.  It was also snowing.

The temperature went up.  So much so that it rained.

The trees that were full of ice, have all melted.

The ice melt, wasn't really uniform.

This meant that the trees were loosing the weight off their limbs at an inconsistent rate and some more tree branches fell.

Of course, some of the branches fell across some power lines and POOF.  No power.

We didn't loose power for that long though.

It continued to rain a day.

Around supper, it snowed.

HUGE snowflakes too.

But, since the temp was above freezing, it soon turned to rain.

The temperature is due to stay above freezing all day.

Does this mean that the Big Guy can just NOT go outside and shovel off the deck and take out his snow blower?

He wishes.

He said that he is going to wait till it at least stops raining before he goes outside.  Which will be around 7 this morning.

It's supposed to snow a bit.

He will see if he can't just do a quick clean up and put the snow blower away.  Then, shovel a little path for the mail man and be done with it all.

The Big Guy really isn't a lover of Winter and you can tell.

Your blast from the past
