6/Feb/22 I should bug again to go outside

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

This is the weather that I've been bred for.

Yesterday, I was outside and I pawed at the ice and snow.

It was thick.

I rolled on the ground, trying to get the fresh snow and ice all over me.

The Big Guy was looking at me through the window.

He thought I was crazy.

Later, in the afternoon, the temperature dropped even further.

This meant, the trees, don't have the ability to shed the ice that is on them.

A lot of branches have fallen across the power lines and have removed the power from huge swaths of people.

The Big Guy is pretty happy, so far, no power outages where we live.

When we first moved here, he couldn't say that.  The wind blew and the power would go out.  But the Big Guy thinks that just about every power line in the area has been replaced.  Since then, now power outages.

In some places, the power lines are underground.  You just go to the junction box and hook up, or disconnect the power from the box.  Same with the phone line, or cable (Internet).

The trees that are left, on the Big Guy's yard, are doing OK.  But he is pretty sure, he will get them cut down.  If the ones that were still standing, from years ago, he is sure they would have remove the power line from his home.  The ones that are left, are hanging pretty low.  Only a few branches have broken off.

Now, his neighbor, they have an old birch tree.  When the Big Guy had his snow blower out, he noticed the large amount of tree branches that were in his yard.
