Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
It is snowing right now.
But that isn't going to last very long.
Soon enough, I will be hearing the crash of thousands of trees shaking off their ice coating.
It will be interesting if you have to drive around the city and one of these trees lets go of the ice that is surrounding it's branches.
That is, unless it melts slowly.
BUT
We have a wind warning and a rainfall warning.
The Big Guy was on the internet yesterday.
He is always paying attention when someone is posting a new recipe.
He found that there was this one person that was talking about something her mother used to make for her as a child.
You need a cast iron skillet. Heat it up, on medium heat..
Butter some bread. Be generous. Once the cast iron is hot. Put the bread on the skillet, buttered side down. Now, pour some molasses on the bread and spread that.
Once the buttered side is toasted, flip the bread so that the molasses side is down and fry that for a bit, till the molasses get's "candied". Server right away.
You know that the Big Guy is going to try to do this.
