Good morning world.
Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
Tonya didn't feel like cooking yesterday. So they "ordered out".
Now, it would seem that NONE of the restaurants in North Sydney has been effected by the Covid.
Yet, it would seem that ALL the restaurants in Halifax/Dartmouth and other big cities are ALL being effected by the Covid. Staff are being laid off. Restaurants are loosing money. Restaurants are closing.
But here in Cape Breton, the restaurants are BOOMING! Commercial St Deli, here in North Sydney, hasn't seen the level of business. They are constantly selling out of their product each day.
It's not that the people in Cape Breton are idiots. But we got it figured out. None of the restaurants are are relying on patrons dining in. You have to call your order in. You have to wait in the parking lot, or area that is close to the restaurant and they call you, on your cell phone to get your order. Or, they deliver.
I heard in Halifax/Darmouth, the delivery folks have jacked up their prices and are gouging the restaurants. Dumb. Certainly not very nice.
Those delivery companies are going to be hurting after the Covid is over and people don't need their food delivered.
So, circling back. What was the Big Guy having? A Donair Supreme. The shit didn't even give me the peta bread. He isn't very nice when it comes to sharing his human food.
