19/Feb/21 give us a scratch, oh yea, right there

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Right now, I can't stand being downstairs.

There is a reason for this.

A few years ago, the Big Guy won a Baby Monitor from work.

He uses it too.

Not to monitor any baby.

Oh, nothing so awe inspiring.

This house is heated by furnace oil.  The tank is in the basement.  In a back room.  In the dark.

The Baby Monitor uses infrared light to see in the dark.

Can you see where this is going?

He got the camera on top of the oil tank, pointed at the fuel gauge.

This way, he doesn't have to go to the basement to check the fuel level in the tank.

BUT.

Right now, it's cold outside.

That friggin baby monitor has a Max and Min temp warning.  As if there is a baby in the basement, on top of the fuel tank.

So, why don't I like being downstairs?

CAUSE THE TEMPERATURE ALARM IS GOING OFF!  Modern technology and he can't turn it off.
