Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.
It certainly was cold on Saturday.
Yesterday, it was pretty much Spring weather with a high of +5.
It was also raining.
Now, due to the extreme freezing we got, the snow that fell on the roof, stayed on the roof.
But it also turned to ice.
Heavy ice on a metal roof, doesn't really stay on the roof once the rain falls.
There was more than a few heavy thumps yesterday.
Right now, it's -5.
So, the ice that didn't fall, is still in place.
When that ice and snow falls off the roof, it makes me jump.
Tonya wanted to go out to the Firehall this Sunday.
She actually got the Big Guy to agree.
But their friends, Bonnie and Leo said no.
Last night, the Big Guy, suggested to Tonya, that they go to Darby's.
It is a former church converted to a restaurant.
The Big Guy was looking it up and it's closed for the season.
This means they will have to find some other place to go out.
It's going to be Valentines Day in a week.
The Big Guy will have to be careful on what he orders from the kitchen.
He has a goal to be under 400 pounds by this weekend.
