22/Feb/23 sniffing for cold air

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, the Big Guy was trying to open the window upstairs.

Tonya could hear him from downstairs and was wondering what he was up to.

He got this pole, from a mop.

He then reached outside with the pole.

I could hear snow and ice crashing on to the back deck.

Turns out, he was knocking the snow and ice off this one corner of the roof.

A few years back, there was such a build up in that corner.

There was several hundred pounds of ice that built up.

Our next door neighbor, Lorne, he doesn't have snow rails or snow brakes on his metal roof.

The snow and ice has fallen off his roof and taken out his front steps.

Twice that I'm aware of.

Our back deck is just above where the ice has built up.

The Big Guy wanted to shove that off that corner before it built up some more.

The Big Guy really thought that Tonya was hearing the snow and ice come off the roof and would know, that's why the Big Guy was opening that back window.

When he was all done, he closed everything up and put everything back again.

He looked outside a few times, just to make sure that the ice and snow that was left, melted.

What did you do for excitement?
