2/Feb/23 is tea ok for dogs

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

While the grand kids were visiting, one of them stepped on my tail.

I barked.

I was the one that got yelled at and was told to go lay down in the porch.

The Big Guy was rather pleased with his snow blowing yesterday.

The temperature stayed above freezing, so the snow was light and fluffy.

The snow didn't have a chance.

The Big Guy was able to get most of the snow taken off the front steps.

The back steps, not so much.

But that was due to the snow melting off the roof and landing on the back steps.

So there is a layer of ice on the back steps.

Tonya told the Big Guy, on his way home today from work, stop at the store and get some salt.

Which would be great if they weren't expecting a deep freeze.

Saturday, by 6 AM, it's supposed to be -24 with a windchill of -40.

For my US friends, that would be -11.  When the windchill is -40 in Celsius, it's the same on the Fahrenheit scale.  Both are -40.

Yes, I will go outside, but not sure how long I will feel like just laying on the snow.

Pretty sure the Big Guy will want to have the furnace on.  Very likely, all day long.

They were saying on the news, people with heat pumps, expect it to make quite a bit of noise.

But I wonder, after this polar vortex goes away, will that be the last of the cold temperature?
