Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Last week, we were bitchin about it being cold

Well, someone remembered that it was Summer and turned the furnace back on.

Now, it's not the heat wave that they have been getting in Ontario and in the Prairie Provinces.

I've been seeing people posting pictures about being at the beach and other Summer time fun.  But the water is cold.  It's only +11 right now.

That is unless you go to New Brunswick and go to Parle Beach.  The water temp is +14.

It's been said that the water's there are just as hot as the waters off of Florida.

The water is relatively shallow in the Northumberland Straight.

Now, shallow is subjective.

Shallow for the ocean.

But if your going for a swim, the water is well above your head.

When the Big Guy was little, they used to go swimming at Cape Pele.  Parle Beach was OK, but way too many people went there and you had to pay to go there.

At least at Cape Pele, it was where his uncle and aunt had a cottage.
