11/Jun/21 that solar eclipse was a lot of hype

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

OK, so I will admit.

I should have been more like the Big Guy.

He was curious and looked outside a few times.  But then went back to what he was doing.

The sun came up, like it always does.

The moon went in front of the moon and blocked out part of the sun.

The moon keep on moving.

Sun kept rising and the moon was no longer in the way.

I have a question and a statement.

The statement.

We have been told over and over and over.  During an eclipse.  DO NOT look at the sun to see the eclipse.  That is, unless you got special protection for your eyes.

They say, you will go blind.

Did you ever see pictures from long ago, when people thought there was a demon or some other such thing that was eating the sun.  They would shoot arrows in the hopes to get the demon to stop eating the sun.  etc etc.

I know they didn't have special eye protection for the people of long ago.

Did they look at the sun?

How come they didn't go blind?

How did people of the ancient past ever exist?

Geesh, they would dumb as shit.
