With it being the Fall, it's getting dark out, a lot earlier. When Tonya goes to work, it's light out. When she gets home, some days, it's dark out.
Tonya doesn't like to have the outside light left on all the time.
But the Big Guy figures, due to it only drawing about 7 watts of power, he is fine with it being on. The fixture that is outside, is meant for an older 150 watt bulb. But now a days, there is the LED bulbs.
Just like the fixture that is in the attic. I think it's meant for a bathroom. You should see how bright it is now.
Tonya said that she is going to make some chili for supper today.
The Big Guy is thinking of making some rolls to go with the chili.
He tried that earlier this week.
It was a bit of a flop, as the baking temperature was wrong.
But he is always willing to try.
Then again, there is also some corn meal. He could make some bread out of that.
He got these big ideas.
None of them include me.
I like to eat too you know...

The Big Guy works upstairs, in the back bedroom. He used to have his work computer in the front bedroom, but he used to get upset at some of the items he would see while he was working.
He can see this one intersection from the window.
It's a 4 way stop.
"Stop" only being taken seriously by a small percentage of the people on the road.
Then there is other items that would make him wonder about the people that are dropping their kids off at the school, which is rather handy to where he lives.
Eventually, Tonya got him to move his "office" to the back of the house.
He can't see a lot of the "goings on" any longer.
The Big Guy also moved this space heater into the office. It heats up the room rather quickly. This pleases the Big Guy quite a bit.
He would much rather heat the room he is in, vice heating the entire house with the furnace.
I will go visit the Big Guy every so often.
He is absolutely BORING while he is at work.
He just sits there and stares at these two computer screens.
He doesn't scratch, pat, or pay attention to me while he is typing on the keyboard.
HELLO!
Like I'm here for a visit.
PAY ATTENTION TO ME!!

Today's post is # 1972.
That is a lot of reading.
I know some of you have been reading my posts every day.
I thank you for that.
Yesterday, Tonya and the Big Guy took me to the Dog Park which is right here in North Sydney.
Someone had said that the park is about 10 feet away from where you park. The Big Guy feels that they must of had the fence open that day. They had to walk about 300 feet or so. Uphill.
I was pretty happy to be able to trot around for a bit.
There was another dog there. He was a lot smaller than me. But he was running and running and running.
Myself, I stuck by Tonya and the Big Guy. I didn't feel much like running around.
Afterwards, we went to Canadian Tire. They needed to get more bubbles for their soda stream machine.
Tonya is off today. HORRAY!!
This means I don't have to wait for her to get home from work. I can just hang out with her all day long.

Normally on Monday or a Tuesday, the Big Guy makes some sort of big meal that he will have left overs for the week.
Yesterday, he made some oven baked chicken and some fried potatoes. Of course, I wasn't offered any of it.
Some potatoes fell on the floor as he was putting them into containers to put in the fridge. That was the only stuff that I got.
Tonya wants the Big Guy to remove the frost from the freezer that is in the back room.
Not that it's a hard job, but it does take about an hour.
The Big Guy got a sore shoulder, so, he may wait another week. Not like the frost is going anywhere.
They own this Dyson Vacuum. It's cordless and has a canister that they can empty.
They need it too. I drop a lot of fur around the house.
Tonya normally dumps the canister in the garbage.
The Big Guy dumps the canister outside.
Yesterday, after the Big Guy vacuumed the house, he goes outside to empty the canister.
He opened it up and a gust of wind pretty much told him, nope, it's going to blow back on you. So he closed it up, walked to a different side of the deck and opened it up.
As it was emptying, the wind shifted.
The stuff from the vacuum blew back all over the Big Guy.

I actually got up for this picture. Just prior to the picture, I was laying down, in the way, again.
Even though it's Tonya's day off from work, she is going to be busy. She is going to go out for a few hours today. I'm going to miss her. Again.
The Big Guy went out yesterday and came back home. He had a little round bandaid on the top of his arm.
He said it was his flu shot.
Which is a lot different than the Covid shot.
But works to keep him healthy from the germs that are out there.
"They" say that this year, could be a bad year for the flu. Last year, there wasn't so many people getting together and everyone wore a mask and kept their distances and washed their hands.
This year, they are talking about taking their masks off and people are getting together again and the like.
Well, that means that people may get infected and what not. Not only by Covid, but that's mostly the anti vaxxers. They some how think that the Covid shot is super bad for them.
I don't get a say in my heart worm medicine. Or some of the other shots that I get each year.
They give me a treat to distract me and stick me in the neck.
Now, when they want to give me a pill. They wrap it in cheese.
Which is sort of funny, as I will pretty much swallow stuff like that, without chewing.
Put a pill into it and my mouth will detect it and spit it out.

Can you see my nose in the middle of the picture?
Tonya went to bed and the Big Guy shut the lights off in the house.
He doesn't mind a dark house and will walk around without walking into anything. He has pretty good night vision for a human.
Tonya on the other hand. Not so much.
It is garbage day today.
I've been listening to the garbage trucks driving around the city.
At some point, those trucks will be converted to be electric garbage trucks.
You will not hear the trucks coming, until they do something else that creates noise. Like the compactor. Otherwise, garbage day will be pretty much silent.
Just like the city busses. There are a few cities out there, and they have converted their busses to electric.
The Big Guy can remember a time, when busses were electric.
There was a two rail system that they could only travel so far. They had these two rods that would reach up from the back of the bus and it would touch these wires. If one of the rods would jump off the wire, the bus would come to a stop. The bus driver would get out and put the rod back on the wire.
But the bus had to follow, where ever those wires went.
Now, the new busses, don't have to follow those wires, they can go where ever they need to. Then, at the end of the day, they plug them in to get a full charge and ready for the next day.
The Big Guy can't wait to get his electric vehicle. Gas prices are jumping up in price. But no where near the price of what he has seen in his travels with the Navy. Back in 2005, when he was in Norway, gas was over $3.00 a litre. it's about half that price in Canada now.
The Big Guy probably will not want to open the windows for me to stick my head outside and drool all over his car.

Those kids...
They may be loud and they may pull on my fur and walk on my tail.
But they they offer me their food.
What are you going to do about that?
As Baby Floyd was walking around, he had a cookie in his little hand.
He would take a bite and then he would hold his hand out to me, offering me a bite. I would take a little bite and he would run around with such joy on his face.
Later on, he was over by Tonya and he just dropped his cookie on the floor.
Well, that's fair game.
What ever drops on the floor is MINE.
I gobbled up what was left of the cookie.
Tonya made pizza last night.
Of course she gave me some.
But only after I had drooled on the floor.
When she finally offered up the pizza, I snapped it from her fingers. She wasn't too happy about that.
There was so much drool on the floor, it soaked right through her socks.
Yup, more yelling.
When the Big Guy came down for his supper, I just laid on the floor. I glanced at him a few times, but honestly, it's a lot of effort to get anything from him. Just not worth the energy.
