11/Nov/18 Remembrance Day, a day to reflect on our freedom

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Yesterday the Big Guy was playing around in the living room and he couldn't get the mouse to work with the laptop.  Turns out, after 2 years, the battery had finally died.  He popped in a fresh battery and he was happy once again.

It's those small victories that makes the Big Guy happy.

Yesterday I had said that Tonya and the Big Guy were going to be going to the Museum and seeing the Remembrance Day ceremonies in North Sydney.  Actually one day earlier than the remainder of North America, as it was 100 years ago.

They had a family emergency that took precedence.  Elaine's cat had passed away.  So they went there instead.  Of course they never said anything to Elaine.

Everything happens for a reason.  Perhaps it would have been overly crowded at the ceremony and the Big Guy would have felt that way he gets in a crowd of people.  Yea, he doesn't like crowds very much.

So last week, the Big Guy had made 2 ship's crests for a guy that was looking for them.  Before he put them in the mail, he had to fix a few mistake because the varathane made the paint run.  So...  he was thinking...  He should start making "collections" of ships crests.  So he's going to make HMCS Ojibwa, Onondaga and Okanagan.  Then he will make the three Canadian aircraft carriers, HMCS Bonaventure, Magnificent and Warrior.  Then he will make the Tribal Class destroyers, HMCS Iroquois, Huron, Athabaskan and Algonquin.  He's not sure about the City Class frigates, as he would have to make them first.  Although a few of them have been renamed from the past, so the shields may already be made.  He's going to think something up for sure.
