The Big Guy made a bunch of chicken wings yesterday.
They smelled great.
Tonya commented on how good the wings were.
The Big Guy has this jar of BBQ sauce powder. He got it from the Dollar Store. You are supposed to mix it with water.
He just sprinkles some of the powder over the wings before he bakes the wings.
The powder is also expired.
Does it mean that the BBQ Powder is no good?
No.
It just means it is no longer fresh.
That's not how Tonya sees it.
A few years ago, my Memere brought the Big Guy a box of old spices that his father had in his cupboard. Some of the spices were years old.
Didn't bother the Big Guy in the least. Expired spice? Just use a little more to get the taste just right.
There are some bags of spices that in the cupboard that are years old.
Like Bay Leaves.
The Big Guy really doesn't cook much with Bay Leaves.
He has noticed a few Bay Leaves showing up in Tonya's spaghetti sauces.
She must be trying to use them all up.
They are just dried up leaves.
Isn't that really what spices are?
