26/Apr/21 do not turn your back on your snacks

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday we sat outside for a long time.

I had to go hide in the shade.  It was that warm on my fur.

At one point, the Big Guy stood up and was talking with someone in the driveway.  They were out walking their dog.

Tonya came outside and said hello and went back in the house.

What the Big Guy didn't notice, was that Tonya had placed a plate of cheese and crackers on the chair where the Big Guy was sitting.

At first, I was really barking at the lady and her dog.

I was not pleased.

But then I seen the cheese and crackers were in easy reach.

The Big Guy had his back to me, so...

I started in on them.

Krystal, who was in the driveway, said, what ever is on that plate, Max is eating it.

That is when the Big Guy turned and looked to see what she was talking about.

Hey, I stopped barking at Krystal and her dog.

I thought this is why the plate of cheese and crakers were put at this level.

I didn't get them all, but I sure was quiet.

25/Apr/21 you are going to share your snacks with me

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, Tonya made some American Style Spaghetti.  This is where you mix all the spaghetti ingredients into the one pot. 

Normally, and I stress, normally, you put the pasta on the plate first, then pour the spaghetti sauce on top of the pasta.

Growing up, the Big Guy only knew of the American Style Spaghetti.  He thought of the other way, as being super fancy.

Having said that.

Tonya also purchased, what they call, a bread sword.

No.  It's not a sword made of bread.  It's just a long, tubular bread.

When I play my cards right, I get some of that bread from Tonya.

Yummy!

I will not bother with the Big Guy.  He just stares at me while he eats.  Yea...  creepy...

When it's late at night and the sun has gone down, and they have been having a few glasses of wine, they will get a snack.  Most times a piece of cheese.

If it's Tonya that is cutting up the cheese, she gets some for me too.

I just love cheese.  Doesn't matter what kind.

24/Apr/21 can you please go outside and make me some hotdogs

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Big Guy has already been outside this year, cooking hot dogs and hamburgers.

How I love hot dogs.  They are like the perfect food.  No bones.

The sun certainly is getting up early every day.

The Big Guy gets up pretty close to 5:00 am every day.  It is getting to the point where the sky is no longer dark when he is getting up.

I have noticed that the Big Guy and Tonya drink coffee.

The Big Guy is pretty good, with or without coffee.

Tonya tells me to calm down before she has her coffee.

Yea, like that is going to happen.

I just get so excited when I see her.

Yes, I know it is only a few hours since I seen her.  But in Dog Time, it's an extraordinarily long time since I seen her.

I just HAVE to show her how much I love her.

23/Apr/21 why is it still snowing outside

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday the Big Guy would put some sort of nonsense on the TV.  He would wrap himself up in his "blankie" and would wake up about 30 minutes later and the channel was changed.

He would reach for the TV remote and it would be missing.

He would look over and Tonya had the TV remote and was watching something that interested her.  She would look at him and say, "You were sleeping".  Which he was.

Now, today, the Big Guy tells me that he is going to go to work.  

He is feeling a lot better.

He also said that for his next booster shot, he will be taking vacation days so that he isn't calling off work.

I am glad that I am a dog and that I don't have to worry about such stuff.

I only worry about being put outside in the rain.

Yup, there was a cloud burst and I was left outside.

Not by the Big Guy.  But by Tonya.  She puts me outside even when I don't want to be outside.

I most certainly didn't want to be outside during the cloud burst.

Then, when I came inside, she wasn't impressed that I shook the water off my fur.

Well, if you didn't put me outside and forget about me, this wouldn't have been a problem.
