4/Apr/20 I ate some ham and now I've got the trotts

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

So, I know that Ham doesn't agree with me.

Actually there is a lot of human food that doesn't agree with me.

So, right now, I've been having some rice.  Just plain rice.  It's easy for me to digest.  Should calm down my bowels.

The Big Guy has been wondering, can he give me some Imodium?  That works on humans.  Then again, it may work TOO good on dogs.  Then I wouldn't poop for several days.  But, pound for pound, I weigh more than some humans.

Yesterday Tonya opened the gate at the bottom of the stairs so that I could be upstairs with her while she was at work.  Did you see the picture of the two of us?

Then there is also the Big Guy's new work station.  The Big Guy is set up at the top of the stairs so that he can look outside, out the back yard.  He doesn't mind too much.

The view he sees isn't so bad.  Although yesterday, the sky was pretty grey.  But that will clear up soon enough and the trees will be full of leaves.  He will be able to open the windows and listen to the birds.

Not now, cause it's just above freezing outside.  Brrr...  Well for humans, brrr...  for me, I lay outside for hours at a time.  The cold don't bother me so much.

But come the Summer, that's when I suffer.

3/Apr/20 you can't see me hiding behind this chair leg

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Today starts week #3 for the Big Guy and Tonya working from home.

Had you spoken to them about working from home in January, they would not have believed you.  How things change quickly.

Yesterday, the Big Guy made up this ham.  Oh how I wanted the ham.  Yummy ham.  But when I eat ham, it does something bad to my bowels and then I get explosive diarrhea.  Not good.

Anyways, the Big Guy is in the kitchen and he's cutting up the ham and cutting the fat off the ham and the skin.  He cut lots of meat off the bone.  Then he takes the scraps and the bone, and throws it out in the back yard.

The sea gulls and the crows have a feast.

Later on, the Big Guy was gong to get the ham bone and put it in the green bin.

But when he looked outside, he couldn't find the bone.  It was gone.

He figures it must have been a sea gull that would have picked up the ham bone and flew off with it.  Either that, or some stray dog might have come into the yard, without him seeing it, and took the ham bone back to his yard.

The Big Guy is just concerned that the bone may still be somewhere in his yard and that if we have another snow storm, which could happen, that he may end up finding the bone with his snow blower.  If he finds it with his lawn mower, he may bend the blade.  Either way, he has to make sure the bone is found and put in the green bin.

Perhaps, next time, he will just put the damn bone in the green bin to start with.

2/Apr/20 I will huff and I will puff and I will blow your house down

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

A lot of you don't know this, but about 2 years ago, the Big Guy had won this baby monitor from work.  Well, he promptly hooked it all up.  You will NEVER guess what he monitors.

The level of the oil tank that is in the basement.

Yup, the camera points at the indicator for the fuel level.  Now, he doesn't have to go to the basement to see how much oil in the tank.

Since the baby monitor has an infrared light on it, it can essentially "see" in the dark.

Right now, it's very early and the sun hasn't come up yet, but the oil tank is in a back room, where there isn't any windows to start with.  So that night vision is on 100% of the time.

Now, yesterday, Tonya wanted the Big Guy to CONFIRM how much oil is in the tank.  So he looks at the monitor and says how much oil is in the tank.  Hmmm...  you guessed it, that wasn't good enough for her.  She wanted him to physically go see how much oil was in the tank.

Do you know what the Big Guy was doing when she asked him to check the oil level?

He was playing his XBox.  Yup, doing "nothing".

Sigh...  women just can't stand their men doing "nothing".  Drives them bat shit.

So he goes to the basement.  (Insert Fred Flintstone tuba music here)

Now, there is this lattice that is in the back room.  Last year, when the Big Guy went to the basement to check the oil level, it fell over and caught the Big Guy in the leg and gouged his leg.  It was bleeding for a long time.

Yesterday, in the name of safety, he decided, he would pick up the lattice and move it aside.

Does lightening strike twice?

It did with him.

The lattice bent and caught the Big Guy across the shin.  Same leg that got cut the previous year.  Only this time, it was in a different spot, but yup, cut into his leg.  Only this time, it wasn't as bad as the previous year.

I think he is going to have a bon fire in his back yard and the lattice isn't going to last very long.

1/Apr/20 if this is April Fools day, it's not funny

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

So, if today were normal and everyone would be at work, socializing, and doing stuff, the people that love to pull pranks, would be in their glory.

Yesterday, the Big Guy wasn't all that happy with Tonya.  She took his coffee cup off his desk so that she could put it in the dish washer.  He tried to get her to leave his coffee cup alone.  She was having NONE of that.  She was in the mood to clean and she was GOING to clean.  She seen his coffee cup and to her, it represented DIRTY DIRTY.

Since the Big Guy only drinks black coffee, with no sugar from his coffee cup, he thought the cup was fine.  It was only a few days since he has been drinking out of it.  Each morning, before he would get a cup of coffee, he would give it a quick rinse and put his coffee in it.

Can you see me rolling my eyes over the foolishness.

Our neighbor is home again.  She was visiting her son in the United States when Canada closed the border.  It pretty much caught her by surprise.  Now she is home again, and of course, will be self isolating for the next couple weeks.

I heard from my non-furry Aunt Linda yesterday.  She has a cold and has to stay home now for the next couple weeks.  She was saying that she has to apply for unemployment insurance so that she can get paid while she is home.

Stay safe everyone!
