4/May/19 May the 4th be with you

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Did you see today's Blog Title?  Have a look at it again.  It's mostly Star Wars fans that gets it.  They just lay in wait for this day each year.  Then they pound this little saying on you.  Then they giggle inside like a small child.

The Big Guy like Star Wars, but prefers Star Trek.  Then again, he also grew up with Star Trek.

In the mornings, I've got a routine with the Big Guy.  Of course, I greet him at the bottom of the stairs each morning.

He will pat me and then mumble about going "outside".  He makes if very clear, that it where I am going.  He will also point with his hands.  I don't look where he is pointing, I only look at his hands.

I will go outside for a bit.  Then I NEED to be inside again.  The Big Guy may have done something and I need to see what it is.

When I come in, I head straight for my water and food bowl.

OK, no changes there.

Now, I head for the kitchen counter.  I'm tall enough, that with my neck straight, I can see across the counter.  Is there anything that needs to be sniffed?  OK, with that done, I head back over to the Big Guy and see what he is up to.

Mostly he goes on his computer to write his daily email to his mum.

I will try to get him to pay attention to me.

He gives me the obligatory pat and then turns his back on me.

Look, I like him and Tonya.  But if your going to ignore me, I will just go lay down.  Which I do.

Then I wait for Tonya to get up.  She yells at me to get down.  Yelling is exciting.  She yells a lot in the morning.  It's a game that I like to play with her and she plays it a lot.

3/May/19 I got a new toy and it's mine

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

The Big Guy went to get me some new food yesterday and he got me a new "dino" bone and a new stuffed toy.

Turns out they have been giving me the toy like it's a chew toy that I'm NOT supposed to have access to all the time.

The Big Guy took the time to write to the company about their toy and how much I liked it.  Turns out, it's for me to play with under supervision and it's supposed to be when I play tug or fetch.  Not for me to just rip apart.

As you can see from the picture, I've already had chewed up part of the ear.

Last time the got me one of these toys, I chewed the ears off in about 20 minutes.  Then the toy looked more like a mouse.

The Big Guy was sure that he had taken a picture of me with the other chew toy.  I guess he didn't as he can't find it.

The Big Guy made some coffee and he hasn't poured himself a cup of coffee just yet.  I'm not sure what he's waiting for.  It's not going to pour itself.

I never had coffee.  Not sure that it would be good for me.  I hear that it makes people start their day.  Me, I only need a scratch behind the ear and I'm good to go.

2/May/19 plans for the Doggie Park are on hold

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Yesterday it was sort of a nice day out.  Not so nice for the humans of course, cause the temperature was just above freezing.  It was only +3.  But the wind.  It wouldn't let up.

I was hoping to be able to go over to the Doggie Park, but the Big Guy knows, it's been raining quite a bit for the last two weeks.  He knows the drainage isn't all that good where the doggie park is.

He was NOT going to be taking me so that I could get all muddy and dirty up the car once again.

He can be a real "stick in the mud" some days.

Yesterday the Big Guy made "Egg Roll in a Bowl".  It's got sausages and cabbage as the main ingredients.  You can bet that I didn't get any of that.

As it is, the cabbage has a lot of fiber.  The Big Guy has been "going" quite a bit today.

Today, Tonya is going to be making spaghetti.  That's something else that I can't have.  (Although she sneaks me some in my bowl)

Those two humans that I live with, you should see how much garlic they use.  It's like onions.  I've seen them buy a 20 pound bag of onions and they were gone in less than a month.

Yesterday the Big Guy was taking his time to mow the leaves that was in the corners of his property.  He should have worn a mask.  He was so dusty when he finally came in the house.

1/May/19 there is bones in that there bowl

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Yesterday Tonya and the Big Guy had some BBQed steaks.  There was bones in the steak.  I would have really liked to get the bone.

But this morning, I was caught sniffing around the counter.

I've been known to jump up and get stuff off the counter.

When the Big Guy finished this picture, he grabbed the bowl and picked out the bones.

Can you guess where this is going?

He threw the bones out to the sea gulls.

I could hardly believe it.

I was looking at this one sea gull that had swooped down.  He didn't even try to grab the meat off the bone.  Nope, he was trying to swallow the bone whole.  I could hardly believe it.

I'm not allowed to have bones due to the fact that they could shatter and get stuck in my throat or my innards.  There by requiring a quick visit to the vet to have emergency surgery.

But these friggin sea gulls, they can do what ever they want.

Tell me that is fair.

Go a head, tell me it's fair.
