4/Aug/16 why does she feed those cats

4/Aug/16 why does she feed those cats

Good morning Cape Breton,

Maximus Handsomius reporting in from my Forever Home.

This ball that I am playing with on the deck, the Big Guy, or Tonya will put my kibble or treats in the one section and as I roll the ball around, it will dump as few treats.  I eat the treats and then roll the ball some more.  But if I roll the ball too fast, it will not give me ANY treats.

I heard them say, more than once, they need to get siding for the house and new windows.  The siding on the back of the house, the paint has been flaking off now for a few years.  When I was a smaller puppy, I used to eat the paint chips. Now I sniff them and move on.

I seen the Big Guy do something really funny last week.  OK, if your eating, I need to give you fair warning, stop eating right now.  So I had an accident in the house.  It happens.  The Big Guy seen the droppings on the floor so he went to get some toilet paper.  He comes back and picks it up.  As he turns, his foot slips on one of the puppy pads that I have peed on.  He is about to fall and his hand clamped down.  Yea, he squished my droppings in his hand.  He didn't fall, but he wasn't impressed either.

Now, after hearing that, you STILL want to follow his food blogs?  Don't worry, he washed his hands really good.  He didn't get a lot on his hand.  Just enough to get his attention.

Tonya is off work today so I get to spend the whole day with her.  Her back has been really sore lately.  I only get short walks.

Last night, we went to Winnie's Wagon.  This is the Big Guy's second favorite Fish & Chip place.  His FAVORITE place is Deluxe Fries.  ==> Click Here for the link <==  This restaurant is his favorite cause this is where he used to go as a little boy.  So it has lots of memories that can't be replaced.

Every time he goes to Moncton, he wants to get his Fish & Chips.  There was one road trip they did, Tonya seen that they had McLobster on the menu.  She asked the Big Guy if they could stop in Truro and have some.  He was VERY accommodating  Click ==> HERE <== for the street view..  He isn't dumb.  She went to McDonalds while he went to Deluxe Fries.  He got back in the car and was eating his Fish & Chips when Tonya got in the car.  No McLobster.  She had like a McChicken or something like that.  Oh was she upset.  After she ordered, they came up to her and said, sorry, but we ran out of Lobster, would you care to re-order.  The Big Guy pointed to Deluxe Fries and said, did you know that they have a Lobster Club Special for $11.99?  Probably to compete with the McLobster.  She asked if they still had lobster.  He said that he didn't see any signs that said they ran out.

Anyways, here is a video of me watching Tonya feed her feral cats.

If you click on the YouTube icon in the video, you can see it in a larger screen.  When you click on the video, can you do the Big Guy a favour?  Can you subscribe and like his video?

Bye Bye for now

3/Aug/16 now I am a Cape Breton Dog

3/Aug/16 now I am a Cape Breton Dog

Good morning Cape Breton,

Maximus Handsomius reporting in from my Forever Home.

Yesterday, the Big Guy's friend at work, Amy Stubbert got me a new collar cover.  When they tried to put it on my collar so that the point was at my chest, I was able to grab it with my mouth and was able to start nibbling on it.  So they turned it around so that it's across my back.  Now I can't reach it at all.

If you click on the video, you can then click on the YouTube Icon so that you can see the video on a much larger scale.  The Big Guy would really like it is you clicked to "Subscribe" to his video feeds.  Then click to "like" his videos as well.  Or this blog, or something.  He is being a real pest about this.

So the kitchen mat is GONE.  I don't have that to chew on any longer.  Tonya said that the corners were all chewed up.  She wasn't having that in her kitchen any longer.

Now there is the bigger carpet at the back door.  I have been ripping pieces off the rubber backing.

The Big Guy sprayed down the carpet with that no chew stuff.  So far, it only slows me down a bit.

They also found evidence where I have been chewing on the rungs on the deck to the back entrance to the house.  The Big Guy said that they aren't that expensive, but that he doesn't want me to chew on them any longer.

I can't seem to do anything right.  I think I will continue to dig the hole in the back yard.

People at Tonya's work says that once I am no longer a puppy, I will be so much better.  The Big Guy wants to get a time machine to make this happen faster.  I don't think he has that kind of money.

Bye Bye for now.

2/Aug/16 over 40 pounds now

2/Aug/16 over 40 pounds now

Good morning Cape Breton,

Maximus Handsomius reporting in from my Forever Home.

The Big Guy found a hole that I am digging.  Man oh man, they got a lot of rocks on their property.  I know he is going to have to put the rocks back in the hole before he mows the lawn.  Pretty soon, the ground will be frozen and I will not be able to dig at all.

Two more days and I go to the Vet once again.  I will get my final booster shot and I will get weighed.  Tonya figures I am well over 40 pounds now.  This means that I can play with other doggies.  Even if they don't have their shots.

Last night, while we were out for a walk, I ran up on someone lawn.  They have a retaining wall made of stone.  Tonya didn't know how I would get down.  She was telling the Big Guy that I would have to be helped down.  Well I showed her.  I lept into the air and landed on all four paws.  Then just kept on walking.  Like a boss.  Oh yea.

The barky dogs at the corner of Blowers and Pierce were not outside.  I don't think they get walked at all.  But when they hear my dog tags and QR code tag jingling, they go nuts and start barking and barking and barking.  It must be rough on their owners ears.  I know the Big Guy wouldn't let me bark that much.

So now, each time that Tonya feels that I am playing too rough, she calls out for the Big Guy to come rescue her.  Boy oh boy, he doesn't frig around.  When he wants me to stop, you better stop.

I still have lots of puppy energy.  I want to play and play.  They are going to have to walk me further to get this energy out of my system.

Bye bye for now.

1/Aug/16 the Bras d'Or Lakes

1/Aug/16 the Bras d'Or Lakes

Good morning Cape Breton,

Maximus Handsomius reporting in from my Forever Home.

So as you can see, I am in the Bras d'Or lake.  This time, not only do I have pictures to prove it, I also have video.

The Bras d'Or Lakes is where Canada has it's first powered flight.  That was near Baddeck.  The plane was called "The Silver Dart".

Canada named it's first military hydrofoil after the lakes it was tested on: HMCS Bras d'Or.  It sailed out of Halifax in the morning, radioed CFS Bermuda to put on lunch for them.  They were home for supper.  When the Big Guy was in Sea Cadets, they used to march past this ship.  That was at CFB Shearwater.

But I don't know about all that stuff.  I only know, there is where I took my first swim.  Not exactly what you would call "graceful".  I will have to work on that water ballet stuff later on.

Afterwards, they took me home and I had to endure the hose.  But they wanted to get the salt water out of my fur.  I am glad that they didn't spray me in the face.  Then it took several hours for me to dry off.

But the Big Guy and Tonya heard me snore for the first time.  I was laying on the deck and I was pretty tired.  I was wet and just laying in the sun.  They woke me up cause of their laughing.

I was shedding my hair so much, the Big Guy thought that the carpets going upstairs were black.  Now that they are vacuumed, I will have to shed on them again.  Tonya went around the house yesterday looking for all my loose hair.  Just wait, I will shed around the house too.  She said that she would be able to make another dog.  Humans are so dumb.  That isn't how puppies are made.

Bye bye fore now
