24/Jul/22 who is that across the street

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, I tried moving from spot to spot, trying to find a cool place in the house.

No matter where I went, there was no cool spot.

Tonya would encourage me to lay under the fan.

That didn't work as I wasn't feeling any air moving.

If I laid further away, Tonya said that I wasn't close enough.

We stayed outside for a bit.

Then the mosquitoes showed up.

When Tonya asked the Big Guy if he wanted to go inside, he quickly said, yes.

They need a screened in room where the mosquitoes can't reach them.

Then we could stay outside for a lot longer.

They had a few screened in rooms.

But I didn't realize what a screen was.

They soon had a dog sized rip in the screen.

The mosquitoes found the hole and they were swatting themselves silly again.

Tonya made some spaghetti sauce yesterday morning.

The Big Guy thought they were having spaghetti last night.

Nope, they had kebabs.

They are having spaghetti tonight.

I'm going to go find a cool spot on the floor and try to beat the heat.

23/Jul/22 don't splash me

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

So, you can see that this is a blow up pool.

You are not about to use the wind from your lungs to blow this up.

You need this little unit that blows air.

Tonya messed up and put the plugs to blow up the pool next to the railing.

The Big Guy said, empty the pool and start over.

Tonya said, no, due to the price of water.  We are not dumping it to start over.

Since Tonya doesn't have any plants around the yard, we don't have anything that can really use the water.

The grass could use a good watering, but that isn't going to happen.

So, when it comes time to drain the pool, it will get turned.

I've been trying to find a cool spot to lay

When I put my paws in the water, it does offer me relief.

You wouldn't think so, but we do sweat through our paws.

I've noticed that people are walking their dogs early in the morning, or late in the evening.

The sidewalks are just too hot on our paws.

22/Jul/22 gotta find a fan

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I've decided that it's important to locate a fan and don't sit right under it.

You have lay on the floor, several feet back from it.

Tonya has set up the kids pool in the back.

I heard they are going to be dropping by later on.

The Big Guy was jabbering about making bread sticks.

Shouldn't be that hard to make.

Just really skinny bread.

But it is to know, how long to bake them.

Also, the house is really warm.

Is now the time you really want to be taking to do some baking?

The Big Guy also has to get downstairs to get the garbage out.

Otherwise, it will be another week before they can put the garbage to the curb.

Yup, 1st world problems, they are real.

21/Jul/22 I'm not done barking yet

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

We will go sit out front of the house.

This is my opportunity to exercise my dominance of my property.

How do I do that?

Well, when I see another dog, I bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark and bark

I'm sure you get the picture.

The Big Guy keeps saying, he is going to get a super soaker.

Bark once, I'm ok.

Bark twice, I get a warning.

Bark excessively and super soaker.

But Tonya did say that she would get the Big Guy the bug-a-salt when we get paid.

That should keep his inner man child happy for a few months.

The Big Guy was reading the reviews for bug-a-salt online.

He should be as happy as a clam.

One review, the guy said that he cleared the house of all the flies in 15 minutes.

He opened the patio door in hopes that more house flies would come into the home so that he could get them as well.

Another review and the guy said, he just sat on his back deck, just waiting for the flies to come within shooting distance.  He said that he was entertained for hours.

I can see the Big Guy being entertained for a lot longer than that.
