4/Jul/22 are they gone yet

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The grandchildren came by for a visit yesterday.

Would you believe, they push me out of the way?

Imagine that...

I'm willing to move, cause, well, I'm willing to move.

But if I didn't want to move, I wouldn't.

Aurora calls me "Toby".

I guess she thinks that every dog's name is "Toby".

She is going to have to learn, my name is "Max".

Tonya gave the grandkids some food.

They wanted to play in the pool.

No eat.

Little Floyd started throwing his food into the pool.

Aurora would throw the food out of the pool.

I would go find it and eat it.

Then, little Floyd found some peanuts.

They never seen peanuts before.

He put the peanuts into the pool.

Aurora removed the peanuts and I ate them.

These were peanuts in the shell.

Tonya gets these for the Blue Jays that visit her property.

They left and I was able to take a nap.

I think I deserved it.

The Big Guy had a nap as well.

So did Tonya.

3/Jul/22 I claim this pool for myself

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I was enjoying the pool.

That was until Tonya got the hose out.

I stayed in the pool for a few minutes after that, but then got out.

My paws were getting wet.

Then, it started to rain.

I don't much like being wet like that.

Snow however.

I love snow.

I was built for the cold.

Tonya told me that the grandchildren are coming for a visit today.

That should mean extra stuff being placed in my food dish.

Although when little Floyd is visiting, my water dish and food dish will be temporarily placed somewhere where he can't' get to it.

He rather likes to transfer my dry kibble to the water dish.

As much of the dry kibble that will fit in the water dish.

Then, he empties the water dish.

So, to stop him from being able to do that, the water dish is emptied and the food dish is put where he can't reach it.

I wonder what the Big Guy is going to make for breakfast.

He normally puts some of it aside for Tonya.

Then when she is having her breakfast, I stare.  Then I get some of her breakfast too.

2/Jul/22 is there any more watermelon

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, the family came over.

Well, most of the family.

Uncle Haas stayed home.

But Uncle Terry has lost most of his front teeth.

So, he can't really bite into anything.

He didn't have any hot dogs or hamburgers.

He did take a few pieces of watermelon.

I am not sure why he took it as he didn't eat of it.

He let me have his watermelon.

I personally love watermelon.

Later on, Tonya came out with her meal.

She gave me two hot dogs.

When the Big Guy was cooking the Hot Dogs, normally he puts one aside for me.

But, yesterday, the Big Guy was in the full sun when he was doing the BBQ.

I didn't go hang out with him.

My fur is black and it wasn't pleasant being in the sun.

The Big Guy even wore a white t-shirt to fend off the heat.

He said that he was a little warm.

You could tell by the sweat coming off him.

1/Jul/22 Happy Canada Day

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Today is going to be the day.

We are expecting a lot of people to show up.

The Big Guy has been thinking, it may be a good idea to bring the chairs off the deck and just have everyone sit in the grass in the back yard.

He is going to have to wait for Tonya to get up and see what she thinks.

He may need to empty the folding table from the basement and bring it out to the back yard.

This would mean that I can't be outside on my lead.

Oh wait, that may mean I could be taken off my lead.

Then again, I've been known to go for a walk about if I'm not on my lead.

She better choose wisely.

The Big Guy also said, to block off the back yard with their car, so that no one can come into the back yard with their car.

Tonya also bought this blow up pool.

She wants the Big Guy to blow it up.

He has an air compressor in the car.

He has never plugged it in, so he doesn't know if it works or not.

I guess he is going to find out in a few hours.

He definitely isn't going to use his lungs to blow it up.

Then there is also the hose to fill up the pool.

The water will be really cold.

My nails got done, so I shouldn't puncture the pool.
