24/Jan/22 did you say there is snow in the forecast

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

The Big Guy was watching the news yesterday and the lady that does the weather, she was saying there is going to be some snow today.

Not a blizzard or anything like that.

The other day, Tonya put some chicken bones outside.

Guess what I found had been moved.

Yup, the chicken bones and they were close enough for me to get.

Tonya tried to chase me.

Tried.

I ate as much of the chicken bones as I could before she got them away from me.

I know, I know, I'm not supposed to eat chicken bones.

But why can they have chicken bones and I can't?

It's just not fair.

I'm pretty sure, those bones went in the green bin, which is down the driveway.

I wonder if the Big Guy will ever bring the green bin back to the back deck again?

Then again, no feral cats are around, so the rats would likely come back.

Naw, he's probably going to leave the green bin where it's at.

23/Jan/22 what are you up to now

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Yesterday, the Big Guy and Tonya were moving a lot of stuff around the house.

All of it was being done upstairs.

Tonya has her "office" at the front of the house and the Big Guy is at the back of the house.

Tonya is spread out over a 6 foot folding table.  The Big Guy, he doesn't need a lot of space and has a 4 foot folding table.

Both seem really happy with their set up.

So, when I go upstairs to visit them at work, I will have two different rooms to visit.

Once I get my pats and scratches from each, I will probably just go hang out downstairs.

Tonya went and put that "couch table" in front of the living room window.  I will have to go to the "library" to be able to get up on the chaise lounge to actually bark at stuff outside.

Most of the people that come for a visit, always go to the back door.

The Big Guy has been pretty happy about the weather lately.

You know what I mean about that.

No snow.

It's cold enough to snow.

But it just isn't snowing.

No rain either.

At least not today.

I like the snow and how it's cold on my belly.

Oh well...  Winter isn't done just yet.

22/Jan/22 Christmas stuff down, Valentine's stuff goes up

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Look to the right of the picture.

You can see the little portable heater is on.

But, just above that.  

There is a little white colored tree.

it has hearts on it.

This is for Valentine's.

Yup, it's a Valentine's Tree.

Not just the one.

There is 2 of them.  You just can't see the second one in this picture.

Other changes that you can't see in this picture is that the computer room has been changed.

The Big Guy brought up this smaller, 4 foot folding table that his father had built for the Commodore 64 computer.

Back then, you didn't have a computer monitor, you had a TV that you devoted as the screen.

Then, there was this rather big and chunky computer monitor.

Eventually they made flat screens for the computer.

Now, it's not enough to just have the one computer screen.  A lot of people have two screens.

If you are a gamer, it's not uncommon to have 3 computer screens.  Plus, they are very likely to be extended, super wide, so that they take up your field of vision.

The Big Guy isn't quite there just yet.

21/Jan/22 why is that dog barking on TV

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Tonya said that the tree is to come down and go in the attic.

She took all the decorations off the tree.

Then it will be the task of putting everything away for another year.

I sure would like to help.

But it ain't my job.

I will do my part by just staying downstairs and out of the way.

I've heard that this is a big help on it's own.

I've never been to the attic.

In some movies, the attic is a scary place.

In this house, this is where the servant used to live.

The reason they know that is that there is a sink that is upstairs and there is only cold water.  The servant didn't need hot water.  Or it wasn't part of their contract.  I suppose they could have warmed some water by putting it in a container on top of the hot water baseboard heater that is in the room.

But I would imagine, it must have been super cold up there in the winter.

How times have changed.

There is no one that lives up their now.
