Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I was keeping an eye out for Tonya and the Big Guy yesterday.

They both got their Covid shot. Yesterday, they only wanted to sleep.  It was like they just couldn't nap enough.

I would go check on them.  Yup, breathing.

Tonya napped upstairs in the bed.

The Big Guy, he would just nap in the chair downstairs.  TV on quietly.  

He was wrapped up in his blanket.  Then he would throw it off, saying that he was too hot.  He would nap again.  Wake up cold.  Wrap himself up in the blanket.  

I didn't realize that the Covid shot made you dumb.

Why didn't he just put 1/2 the blanket on himself.

I looked at him today and was asking him, how does he feel.

He said that he is tired.  He just wants to nap.  He aches all over.

When the pharmacist said that it would be like getting the flu, she wasn't kidding.

Tonya called her sister and she feels drawn out too.

I asked the Big Guy, would he do it again?  Yes, 100% yes.  Only next time that he is going to get his booster, in the Summer, he said that he is going to book off vacation time.  He will know ahead of time.

Live and learn.

21/Apr/21 I wonder if they could just feed me treats all day long

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I wondered.  What if I ran out of kibble?  Could they give me a meal of just treats?

For some reason, I believe that I would probably get the squirts from all the treats.

Tonya and the Big Guy went out yesterday and they got their Covid shot.  Now, they have to get their second shot within the next 120 days.

Even though they got their shot, they still are not 100% immune to the Covid.  But they are more protected than they were yesterday.

Last evening, Tonya wanted to go sit outside to get some "Vitamine D".  The Big Guy wasn't feeling all that well.  I pulled up his hoodie and slouched a bit in his chair.  Then he closed his eyes.  He really didn't want to be outside at all.  He just wanted to sleep.

We didn't stay outside very long.

The Big Guy took off his jacket and had a nap on the couch.

He looked a lot better when he woke up.

He was telling me that he didn't sleep that well though.  His arm is still sore from where they injected him.

Tonya says that she feels fine.

I wonder why I didn't get the shot?  I heard that doggies can get the Covid.

20/Apr/21 do you have any treats for me

 

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

That picture above, is me and Baby Floyd.

Bigger Floyd always gets his panties in a bunch when I get near his baby.

He is afraid that I'm going to bite him or something.

Like, no.  I wouldn't do that.  Ever.

Yesterday, I was speaking about the Beef Brisket that the Big Guy was going to cook up.

He did and I got some.  More than I expected.  People put too much on their plates and I got the left overs.

Something that everyone commented on.  There wasn't any gravy.

The Big Guy was going to make some gravy, but in the end, decided against it.

Today, he plans on making like a Biggie Breakfast with hash browns with the Brisket and fried eggs and some toast.

I will probably get some of Tonya's eggs, as I always do.  

Oh and some of her toast.

You KNOW that that Big Guy is going to put onions in the hash browns.

Today, Tonya and the Big Guy are going to be getting their Covid shot.  I hope they can feel better soon.  Not that they got the Covid, but I certainly wouldn't want them to get it.

19/Apr/21 outside is where all the interesting smells are

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Today, the Big Guy is going to be cooking this giant piece of meat.

It's called a Beef Brisket.

I seen him researching how to cook it.  It's going to take about 10 hours to cook.  Perhaps less.  But likely it will take that long.

I also heard that he will NOT be using onions.  

That means, I will get some.

Oh boy!  I heard that Beef Brisket is great.

I guess I will find out.

I also heard that he plans on doing a vacuum seal with some of the left overs.  That means a lot of meat is going to be frozen.

So, even though this Beef Brisket is about 10 pounds.  I will likely only get a few slivers of it.

Nothing but a tease, if you ask me.

Tonya is also going to be making some potato salad.  I guess I will get some of THAT.  

The Big Guy is also going to be making a cole slaw.  They can have that.  Pfft...  carrots and cabbage?  Who likes that stuff?
