4/Nov/20 Once upon a time in a land far far away

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

It's not secret that I nap a lot.

What else do I got to do?

I have some kibble.  I drink some water.  I go "pee pee" or "poo poo".  Or when Tonya wants me to go outside and do my business, she will run it all together.  "Pee pee poo poo".

Well, I got nothing better to do, so I go outside and take a dump.  I make sure to do about 3 turns before I settle in and crunch.

I also make sure that Tonya's got my back when I'm pooping.  I'm pretty vulnerable then.  I will look up at her while I'm pooping to make sure the keeps and eye out for predators.

Then, when Tonya goes poop, I want to be in the bathroom with her, to show her that I got her back when she is vulnerable.

She just thinks that I'm being some sort of peeping tom.

Geesh, I'm just trying to protect you.

Of course when she is all done, I gotta sniff to make sure she is "healthy".  Oh she doesn't appreciate the lengths that I go for her.

3/Nov/20 why aren't the Christmas decorations up yet

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

This would seem to be the cause of a great debate.

Halloween is over and some people, not a lot mind you, but some, are already putting up their Christmas decorations.

The Big Guy is a veteran.  So is a lot of other veterans.

For the most part, veterans couldn't give a fat rats ass if you want to put up your Christmas decorations in July or August, if that's what you fancy.  Ok, that's a bit of an exaggeration.

The debate is if to put up the Christmas Decorations before November 11th.  Which is Remembrance Day in Canada.

The Big Guy always waits till at least the last weekend of November.  But that is his choice.

The Big Guy likes the pretty Christmas lights.  They don't hurt anyone.  It does make your place look cherry and inviting.  It is also warmer in early November than it is late November.  So why not make your place look nice while the weather is cooperating.

After all, the Big Guy did serve his country so that you have the freedom to make the choice.  So did a lot of other veterans.

2/Nov/20 is you knee hurting, let me warm it up with my fur

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Some of you may not be aware, but the Big Guy has an old soccer injury.  Way back when he was 19 years old, he was playing soccer as an after hours activity with the Armed Forces.

Well the organizer wanted him to go for a pass, but he passed it short and the Big Guy bent his knee backward.  He hasn't been the same ever since.  That knee has always bothered him.

Now, he does get a medical pension out of it.

But still, there are some days, when his knee is worst than other days.

So, when it snows and he has to go outside to shovel, it hurts his knee.  So it's no wonder that he dislikes Winter so much.

They got their Halloween decorations put away for another year.  That is one less thing for the Big Guy to do.  Now, they will wait a few weeks and get the Christmas stuff all set up.  The Big Guy never decorates before Remembrance Day.

When they lived in Winnipeg, they were not supposed to put up their Christmas decorations till they had their Christmas Parade.  The Big Guy thought this was a load of shit.  Just another thing for the neighbors to stop him from making his place look nice.

Remember when Icicle lights were a new thing?  The Big Guy took the time to straighten each wire.  That way, it looked better.  His neighbor, they were all zig zag.  His neighbor's wife pointed out the difference to her husband.  He was NOT happy with the Big Guy.   The Big Guy really used to like doing stuff to make that neighbor look "bad".  Like tending to the garden.  Having the better lawn.  Having yard decorations.  Stuff like that.

Yea, the Big Guy can be a bit of a prick.

1/Nov/20 I'm not so keen on fireworks at Halloween

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

If were up to me, the Big Guy would have sat in the regular chair in the living room and Tonya would have sat on the couch.

I was on the couch, looking for comfort.

The fireworks that people were setting off were hurting my ears.

What crazy person decided that this would be a good idea anyways?

The flash, I'm used to.  When you live with the Big Guy and he takes your picture EVER DAY, you will get used to that.

But it was the "bang" part that I didn't like so much.

It is over for another year.

The next thing that we got to do is to put the Halloween decorations away.  Then think about bringing out the XMas decorations.

They will not go out for another few weeks.  The Big Guy doesn't decorate prior to Remembrance Day.

He doesn't mind if other people do.  He can fully appreciate the colorful lights.  Also, it's nicer to decorate in the milder weather.
