4/Oct/20 can't play, gotta chew on this bone treat

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

This bone treat was something that my owners bought me 2 years ago.  It has lasted that long.  No matter how much I chew on it, it lasts and lasts and lasts.

So yesterday, the Big Guy and Tonya had decided that I was loosing too much fur inside the house.

The Big Guy chased me around the back deck with this spray bottle.  It was filled with this stuff that made me smell like blueberry cheesecake.  I didn't want to be sprayed with anything, let alone that.

Then, Tonya chased after me with this brush thingy.

Yea, they got lots of fur off me.  More than normal.

Due to the fact that I was sprayed down, it was easier for Tonya to be able to brush me.

Which you would think, is a good thing.

I would have preferred to be just left alone with my chew toy.

Where do they get these big ideas about my fur.

Oh yea...  Facebook and YouTube.

Social media can bite my bum.  Go away and leave my fur alone, thank you very much.

Oh, and did you see the other post that the Big Guy put on Facebook, about that carrot cake that he made...  guess who can't have any of that.  Well, guess what...  I got to lick Tonya's plate of some of the cream cheese icing.  Yea, it was good.  Now excuse me while I've got to go figure out if I've got the trots from something so rich.

3/Oct/20 ya gotta be happy

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I know that the Big Guy will sometimes make this breakfast thingy that's really got no name that he can think of.  But it's onions, potatoes and corned beef.  You fry it all up and pour ketchup all over it.

Tonya doesn't care for it too much as does "sit" well with her.

The Big Guy LOVES it.

Then again, Tonya likes stuff like pickles and beets and other stuff that is pickled.

I'm with the Big Guy.  I see Tonya eating it and I do want it.  Anything that she eats.  I HAVE to have it.

Tonya will give me a pickle and I will spit it out.

WTF are you trying to feed me?

I will stare at her.  Give me another.  Your eating it, I want it.

I will sniff the pickle.  I will put it in my mouth.

ACK!  It tastes just as bad as the first one.

I spit it out.

I will stare at her.  Feed me.

You would think that I would learn.  Or that Tonya would learn.  I don't like pickles.  We both keep trying and I keep spitting them out.

Why do you eat that if it tastes so horrible?  Your going to hell for feeding me that garbage.

Wasn't there a bag of chips on the counter in the kitchen?  I like those.  You like those.  We can like those together.

5/Oct/20 it would be nice if you could put some ice cubes in my water dish

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

I've noticed that every day, the Big Guy gets up and he puts this jug of water into this machine.

He flicks a switch and in about 5 minutes, there is coffee in that same jug.

He will drink 2 cups of coffee.  For the most part, he is happy, but really doesn't bug me in the morning.

Honestly, I don't bug him either.  Unless I got the urge to be outside.

It's when Tonya comes down stairs.  Oh, this is where the excitement begins.

I greet him with my enthusiasm that is built into every dog that hasn't seen their master in hours - days - weeks -  months - years...  Time has little meaning to us dogs.  We just know, we haven't seen you in a LONG time.

I want to jump up and lick her face.

This is when the yelling begins.

Which only fuels my excitement.

Tonya says, she only wants to get to her coffee so that she can wake up.

Really?  You need to wake up?  Then how did you get downstairs?  On auto pilot?

Then there is the bum sniffing, to make sure that she smells the same.  This normally earns me a swat to the mussel and oh yes, lets not forget the yelling.

Well if you weren't awake before, I bet you certainly are now.

She gets her coffee and stomps off to the living room.

I lay at her feet, waiting for her to wake up.

Humans are so complicated.

1/Oct/20 September went by so fast, it made my head blur

Good morning world.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home, in Cape Breton Island, Nova Scotia, Canada.

Can you believe that were October already?  Soon enough Tonya and the Big Guy will be putting their Halloween decorations outside.

Also, what's up with the temperature?

Not that you would have seen them, but last evening, after Tonya got home from work, and the Big Guy came downstairs from his work, they both sat outside.  Without a jacket on.

Now, the Big Guy has some daughters that lives in Manitoba and in Saskatchewan.

In Winnipeg, it's +4 C.

In Swift Current, it's -2 C.

That's jacket weather for sure.

That's the temperature where I start to feel comfortable.  This warm stuff, I don't do so well.

Yesterday, the humidex got to 30 C in Sydney.

The Big Guy is smiling as he knows, there will be zero chances of snow when it's that warm outside.

Weirdo...
