4/Feb/19 I may be snoring, but I'm not sleeping

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

The chairs in this house are pretty comfortable, but they are not big enough for me.  As you can see, my paws are hanging off the couch.

I wonder if they would consider getting new "dog sized" furniture.

I got to meet a new person yesterday.  Her name is Meghan.  She goes to Cape Breton University.  So she is a daughter to a person that wanted to purchase some crests off of the Big Guy.  She weights 5 pounds less than I do.

At one point, I didn't understand what she was doing with her hands.  I thought she wanted me to jump up.  So I did.  I put my paws on her shoulders and looked at her in the eyes.  Then I licked her face.  She was surprised.  She didn't realize just how big I am.

The Big Guy got angry with me, but she said that it was OK as she is a dog person.

Talking of the Big Guy, he slept in this morning.  Although for some people, 6:30 isn't sleeping in, it's getting up way too early.

Tonya got the Big Guy to make something new for supper last night.  It had pork, broccoli, brussel sprouts, peppers, cashews, spices and stuff.  But they both got the "runs" from supper.  The Big Guy wanted to make Pork Chops and mashed potatoes with veg on the side.  But Tonya wanted more of a stir fry.  Neither of them is sure why they got so sick to their stomach.  But it got thrown out to the sea gulls.

I've got to wonder...  do sea gulls get sick to their stomach?  They certainly do eat a lot of stuff that SHOULD make any animal get sick.  Perhaps that is why they poop so much.

3/Feb/19 what is this baby that your all talking about

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

So we have official news.  The Big Guy is going to be a grand father for the 9th time.  He's pretty happy about this.  Now, one of his grandchildren, he  will be able to refer to her as "7 of 9".  Up to this point, she was only 7 of 8.

Although they don't get to see that grand child too much.  Well, not at all.  That's a long story, but he refers to the mother as "The Borg Queen".  He doesn't say that often as he knows it's not a term of endearment.

It's a shame too as the Big Guy really likes her grand parents and especially her great grand parents.  But it is what it is.

The other grand children mostly live away.  5 of them live in Saskatchewan.  Another one has been adopted and should be about 12 years old now.  Never know, there may be a knock on the door some day and this young lad may say, "Hello, your my grand father".

So, back to reality, this baby is due in August.

That will mean a little person will be introduced to me.

That little person, I will make sure to share my water and kibble with them.

They can't have my bones though.  Those are mine.

So...  screw off little one.  Kibble yes, bones are NO.

2/Feb/19 my bone is under your table and I want it

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Well today, it's supposed to be really cold outside.  Now, really, who am I kidding?  Yes, -12 is cold.  But not so cold as other parts of Canada.  But to listen to the weather people on TV.  We're all going to DIE.

That's it.  Pack it all up.  We're leaving for warmer climates.

No?  Were not leaving?

I didn't think so.

Geeh, I just came in from outside.  I was out there for about 30 minutes before I scratched on the door to be let back inside.

Now if I was some poof poof of a little dog with really short hair.  That would be different.  Those dogs are nervous all the time.  If they shook any harder, all their hair would fall off their little body.

Me, I only need to bark and hair flies off my body.  Which I think is a lot more efficient way to loosen up my hair.

I was looking at the Big Guy's right slipper.  There is a hole in the side of the slipper and his foot is now walking on the floor.  Now, he's got 2 more pairs of BRAND new slippers.  They are upstairs and he knows exactly where they are at.  But he is determined to walk right though these slippers before he gives them up to the garbage.

I've put them in my mouth before.

OMG

They taste HORRIBLE!

1/Feb/19 I can taste you off the chair

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Were you looking at the read counter on this blog?  I am just shy of 50,000 unique visits to each individual blog that I've written.

As of yesterday, I've written 973 blog entries.

The Big Guy also has a food blog.  That one only has 279 blog entries, but has more than double the reads at 110,680 reads.  1/3 the work and over twice the reads.

Not fair.  I'm way more handsome than any food blog.

But I also think that I have a more loyal fan base.  I get people that read my blog each and every day.  Where as people will read the food blog, only once in a while.

So to my constant readers, than you for your support.

I'm sorta like your coffee in the morning.  You read it all the time and you know it's there.  His cooking blog is the silly comics in the news paper.

My readers are more refined and know quality when they see it.

Then again, I've also heard some people say that my writing is quite funny.

Did you check out the weather for this weekend?  It's going to be quite cold outside.  Now that is relative.  In Winnipeg, where my non-furry sister lives, it was -40 on Wednesday.  At that temperature, I don't have to say it was -40 C or -40 F, as the temperature is the same.  Either scale, it was plenty of "brrr".
