Yesterday the Big Guy and I went for a walk. It was very interesting. We had to walk, mostly on the street and not on the sidewalk. The sidewalks were mostly snow, or simply not shoveled off at all. The Big Guy has often made the comment, if he would have a side walk in front of our house, that is something he would keep cleaned off.
So it's also garbage day today. But that doesn't seem to matter too much. The garbage people come around at 6 in the morning. Then all the garbage is GONE! Nothing for me to sniff.
Tell me that is fair.
So Tonya was entered into this Facebook contest and she won. She got some coffee, hot chocolate, coffee cups and $100.00 in gift certificates. She was quite pleased. So is the Big Guy. He is having a cup of coffee from the new cup, using one of the new coffee's that they won. He says that he really likes it.
The Big Guy has to wonder, is the coffee cup dishwasher safe? I guess he's going to find out.
So with that $100.00, that will mean that they are going to be getting pizza. Oh how I love pizza. Although I'm not given enough of it. But the crust. Yummy! nom nom nom
So, the Big Guy woke up a little earlier than normal for him. Now I bet he is going to get some breakfast, put on the TV and promptly take a nap.
I guess I will nap with him.

So it's the new year. Nothing too special has happened so far. At least not to me. I think this is the part of the year where the decorations and what not, all come down and gets put away. Then, next year, we will do it again.
Seems such a waste of time. Put up the decorations, put them away, put them back up, put them away.
I wonder if people that live in other countries decorate as much as we do? Or, do they just leave their decorations up? All year round?
The Big Guy has a dentist appointment later on this morning. They will clean his teeth. They mustn't do a really good job as he will only be going back again in about 6 months.
I wonder if the Big Guy ate some of my dry kibble, would that clean his teeth like it does mine? I'm willing to let him. Tonya has often said how good my kibble smells.
It's the Big Guy's day off today. I wonder if he's going to take most of the day to play is XBox. Or is he going to do something productive? You never know with him. One minute he's just sitting around, the next, he's up to something and not telling anyone what he is up to.
Myself, I just enjoy laying around, taking it all in.
Oh, and walking, I really enjoy going for walks as well.

This morning, I was waiting for the Big Guy to take my picture. So I on'y had one eye open when the flash went off.
Tonya and the Big Guy took down the Christmas tree for another year. So that's gone. Now the other decorations must come down. Normally this is a several day process, where a few items will get boxed up and then brought upstairs.
Then when it's all in the guest bedroom, one day, they will start bringing it to the attic. But due to the stairs to the attic being so steep, they normally pick a nice day to do this. By that, I mean there is no real heat source for the attic. They get cold while they are up there. So they normally wait till the weather is a little warmer and then, they bring the Christmas stuff up to the attic.
Although, the Big Guy always put these few items outside. I can't understand why he just doesn't put that stuff in the garage, vice taking to the attic. Wouldn't that make a lot more sense? I will have to keep an eye out on his and see what he does.
The Big Guy has tomorrow off.
Sort of.
He has a dentist appointment early in the morning. This is normally for his annual cleaning.
No one really likes going to the dentist. Now, myself, the Vet is my doctor and dentist, all in one. They normally look over my teeth, but don't normally do anything but pull bad teeth out. Thankfully, I still have all my teeth.

So I've got to wonder, what is this new year going to bring for me?
I've already got a new bag of kibble. So that is checked off.
We seem to have unlimited water, so that is also checked off.
I can see that I've got treats. As Tonya keeps my treats in a glass cookie jar on the counter. Since it's glass I can see the treats. So, another check in the box.
The house is warm and keeps the snow and rain off my fur. Check and check.
I've got two humans that take care of all my needs. Another check.
I get to go for drives and walks. Two more checks.
When ever Tonya has something to eat, I can bug and buy till she gives in and feeds me what ever she is eating. Checker-oooo
I've got a vet that wants to see me every so often, to make sure that I'm healthy. Bonus check there. Even the Big Guy and Tonya still don't have a family Doctor.
Yup, I guess the new year is starting off rather nicely for me.
