8/Nov/18 there are leaves blowing around, I've got to see them

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

In the last month, well, more like the last 2 weeks, the trees have been dropping their leaves.  Last weekend, the Big Guy got out his lawn tractor and mowed over a lot of the leaves.  Honestly, he could do that again and again and still not get them all.

Last night, when we were out walking, there was one place that must have had about 20 garbage bags that were put to the curb.  The Big Guy is pretty sure that it's just all filled with leaves.  Now if the wind were to come up...  I'm sure that none of the garbage bags would be there as bags of leaves are somewhat light.

The Big Guy has tried to put leaves to the curb in the past.  That didn't always work out so well as the city refused to pick them up.  So he would put the bags of leaves in one place and then, each week, fill up the green bin and put that to the curb.  Each week, the city would take that.

In the past, the "man" of the house, would rake the leaves into a pile and then burn them.  I'm sure that cause a lot of fires back in the day.

Now, having out door fires is no longer a "thing".  Like it used to be in the past.

Yesterday I had told everyone that the Big Guy was making a chicken stew.  Well, I can't tell you if it was any good.  Of course he put onions in it.  I can't have onions.  They make my paws itchy.  This is right from Google.  Onions are really bad for doggies:

Onions contain an ingredient called thiosulphate which istoxic to cats and dogs. The ingestion of onions causes a condition called hemolytic anemia, which is characterized by damage to the red blood cells. Onion toxicity can cause the red blood cells circulating through your pet's body to burst.

So, no matter how much I beg Tonya, she really has to be cautious of what she is feeding me.  I love table scraps.  I love them so much, some times I just bug and bug and bug Tonya till she will actually give up what she is eating and she will give it to me.

7/Nov/18 I'm dreaming of a White Christmas

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

OK, So I know it's a bit early to be thinking of Christmas, but without the Halloween lights on, it's dark in the house at night.  At least with those lights on, I was able to see as I moved around the house.  Not to say that my night vision is bad.

I just like the lights.

They twinkle and what not.

The Big Guy is making a chicken stew right now.  Well, so far, he has to start it.  Which means that the house is going to be smelling GREAT.  He just don't know what I go though when he does all the great meals.

So he's got the chicken in the dutch oven.  It's partially frozen.  But he knows that it's going to cook.  Then, when it's cooked, he will remove all the bones and what not and boil those up again.  Making a chicken broth.  Once he's got that all done up, he will then add some potatoes and onions.  Plus what ever else he thinks would go great with a chicken stew.  He says that he is going to try to make some dumplings.  We will see how that goes.

Were you wondering about the ship's crests that the Big Guy was working on?  Well they are finished.

Aren't they marvelous looking? When you looking at the last two pictures, the "milky" stuff in the varathane that has been sprayed on the crests so that they will be protected and they will shine forever.

6/Nov/18 the door isn't going to open itself

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

So I still rely on the Big Guy and Tonya to put me outside.

They have to open the door as I still haven't figured out how to do that.

So the Big Guy was talking about selling off his collection of ships crests molds that he got from his father.  Now he's considering NOT selling them, and perhaps going into the business of making the ship's crests and selling them.  Not for an extravagant price.  But it would also mean that he would have to create a website and keep it maintained.

So perhaps start another blog.  Show how the crests are made and what not.  Then have the pricing at the bottom and how to contact the Big Guy.

There are Sea Cadet Units.  Naval Reserve Units.  Legions, etc.  All these places have potential buyers.

If the Big Guy's father could purchase a GMC Suberban using the money he made from the crests, then perhaps the Big Guy could use his funds to purchase new stuff as well.  Or even save up for holidays.  It would be a great way for him to pass the time.  He will be fully retired in a few years.  He is going to need something to keep his mind busy.  Why not this?

The Big Guy will also have to think about the new city class ships.  They all need crests as well.  These ships do sail NATO deployments and they all need something to exchange when at sea.

Last night, the Big Guy used varathane to finish the shields.

Do you have your own business?

5/Nov/18 do I got any boogers up my nose

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Didn't we ever have some wind yesterday?

The Big Guy needed to go to Canadian Tire and before he left, he seen that there was a bunch of leaves that collected near the back door.  He parked the car away from all of that and then went and got his lawn mower.

Then he went around and around, mowing all the leaves.  This was cutting them into smaller and smaller pieces.  Which in turn, was being picked up by the wind and blowing it away.

Some of the leaves and other debris landed on me and got stuck in my fur.  So Tonya had to clean me up.  She said that I was very messy.  Meanwhile, it was the Big Guy's fault for mowing up all those leaves.

Something that the Big Guy didn't realize till this morning was that they never lost power.  Yet my non-furry Memere, who lives in Moncton, she said they lost their power for about 12 hours.

So the Big Guy was painting the crests that the guy would like to purchase.

Tonya says that he's doing a great job.  What do you think?

He still to varnish the shields, then attach the crest to the shield, and then get some packaging so that it can be mailed.  He's also going to have to get some bubble wrap so that the shield is protected in delivery.
