4/Nov/18 who ever is sending that text message

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

You can see Tonya's cell phone in this picture.  You can also see that the cell phone protective case has done it's job.  Without that case, it very likely would be VERY damaged.  Same with the screen.  There is a protective screen on the front.  Without it, the screen would very likely be very damaged as well.

She says that it's her car keys that keeps hitting the cell phone when ever it's in her purse.

Then again, her purse gets dropped a few times.  So it's no wonder that the protective screens are all cracked the way they are.

So the Big Guy may have found a new hobby.  He has these crests in the basement.  Well there was a guy that needed 2 ships crests  The Big Guy poured 2 crests and now has to paint them.

This is something that the Big Guy's father used to do.  He also made quite a bit of money doing that.  He didn't get rich, but he did make money.

The Big Guy also found that the crests that his father made, could also crack.  The Big Guy wonders if that was because of all the glue that was in the centre of the crests, and not on the edges.  The Big Guy is going to see if he can't fix that problem, by putting the glue more towards the edges.

I guess we will see if he can do just as good a job as what his father did.

So as you can see, how he has to paint them.

3/Nov/18 I am not really a morning person

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

So, what are we going to talk about today?

The Big Guy works with this lady and her car doesn't work any longer.  Yesterday, she was talking about giving it away.  It doesn't run so well in the wet weather.  The Big Guy isn't a mechanic, but he dealt with that a long time ago.  Turns out, it was the distributor cap and it had a crack in it.  So when it was wet weather, the van wouldn't run so well.  Or even start for that matter.

I can tell that the Big Guy is going to go for a nap shortly.  He looks really tired.  He will go lay down for about 20 minutes and get up all refreshed.

After looking outside, I can pretty much say that going to the dog park is off the list.  It has rained quite a bit yesterday and it is going to continue for some time today as well.

The weather is supposed to be nice tomorrow.  I heard the Big Guy talking about having a BBQed pork loin cut up into steaks.  He has done that in the past.  Doesn't mean that I get any of it though.

Most of the leaves have fallen off the trees.  I know that I've said it in the past, but I am really looking forward to Winter and the snow.  Yes, yes, I know that the Big Guy hates Winter.  All that snow blowing and what not.  He thinks that the snow in the driveway is just all chaos.

Here is your Public Service Announcement: Tonight is Day Light Savings time.  So the clocks are going to fall back one hour.

If you live in Saskatchewan, Arizona, and/or Hawaii, please ignore this PSA as it doesn't apply to you.

2/Nov/18 let me inside the house before I freeze

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

For your doggie that you may have at home.  Do they beg you for the food that is on your plate?

I know that each morning, the Big Guy will make himself some breakfast.  Well, I may as well beg the floor to make me some toast.  I've tried to beg for food off of him.  It's just not happening.

Now, with Tonya.  That's a different story.

I will STARE at her.

I will lay my mussel on her chest.  (Yes, I am tall enough to do that when she is watching TV and she is sitting on the couch)

Then, with my mussel on her chest, I will start drooling.

Of course she yells at me.

But I know it's all part of the game with her.  I just have to be patient with her.

Begging with her works so well, I've seen her give up most of her breakfast to me.

Not with the Big Guy.  I've seen him go into the living room and put his plate down on the end table.  Well there may as well be krypotonite on that plate.  I know, don't even try to sniff the plate.  It doesn't end well for me.  He has come at me, "at the rush".  You really don't want to see a man as large as him coming at you.  I've made sure to run away each and every time.  I've acknowledged that he has put his plate down, and I know I want some, but I also know, it's better that I just ignore it and go have some kibble.

When ever the Big Guy plans to give me some thing from his plate, he brings it to my food dish and puts it in there.

So what's your best way to get human food?

1/Nov/18 I can see my toy, it's under the chair

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Another year has passed and the Halloween decorations have come down.  Now the blow ups are still blown up.  But Tonya told the Big Guy, that they will be going outside this morning to take them down and put them in the garage for another year.

Last year, Tonya had purchased this new arch that goes over the walk way to the front door.  Well it was quite the hit.  There was a lot of children that wanted their pictures taken with the arch.

There was also quite a few comments about the blow ups.  The Big Guy has to wonder, should he get spot lights to light up the blow ups next year.

Something to think about.

Also, there was a few parents that commented on the lack of spiders.  There was one year, the Big Guy had put some plastic spiders on the house.  Well they are in the box somewhere in the attic.  The Big Guy keeps saying, they have got to go to the attic and really go though everything.  Decide what to keep and what to purge.  Not all of it is trash, but there is a lot that could be sold to other people that will put it to good use.

But yes, there is some of it that really is trash.

There was some children that got me upset and I barked a lot at them.  But then, Tonya explained to me, if I was a good boy, I would be able to watch them through the front door.  If I was bad and barked too much, she would close the front door and I wouldn't get to see any of them.

So I really tried to be good and I watched a lot of the children though the front door.

Now to wait another year to see how many children come to visit.  Tonya figures we had about 80 children come to the house for treats.
