26/Dec/17 I'm all holidayed out

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

This is one of the toys that I got from Santa Claus.  I'm not sure who this guy is as I never met him before.  But since he's giving out presents, who am I to judge?  I've been chewing on this toy non-stop.

The power flickered a few time yesterday.  But all in all, we didn't loose the power.  Now, that can't be said for the rest of Nova Scotia.  There was high winds last night and a lot of people were posting on Facebook that they were running their generators to make their own electricity.

Right now, the Big Guy is making Meatballs.  And don't they ever smell GOOD!  I bet he is going to have a few for his breakfast later on.

I got to have some turkey and some pie yesterday.  No potatoes or carrots.  The gravy that the Big Guy made had a lot of onions in it.  So I'm not supposed to have onions.  So I didn't get any gravy.

I can hear the wind howling outside.  With the windchill, it feels like -11.  That is pretty cold out.  I know they Big Guy is going to be having his hood up on his new jacket today.

My non-furry Memere bought the Big Guy a pair of BRIGHT yellow snow pants.  He was pretty happy when he seen them.  He was kinda miserable last year, out in the snow, moving the snow around the yard.  This year, his legs will be warm.

Both Tonya and the Big Guy have work today.  They are not looking forward to going back to work.  Oh well, that happens.  Eventually they will be retired.

Bye bye fur now.

25/Dec/17 Christmas Day

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

You should see this new toy that I got for Christmas.  It's a tire with a rope threaded though it.  I can tell that I'm going to get HOURS of chewing with this.

I got a lot of visitors yesterday.  There is this little guy that showed up.  His name is Bryson.  He makes a lot of noise for such a small person.  Both his parents are allergic to dogs.  But I really wanted to be with Kyle.  He is such a nice guy.  He patted me quite a bit.  But before they left, Elisha was all stuffed up and her nose was running.  She suffers a lot more than Kyle does.  The next house they were going to, they have cats and they are even MORE allergic to cats.

Later on, I got a visit from Meghan, Terry, Haas, Elaine, Clarke, Floyd, Mylynne and Colby.  They all got to open presents.  They were all eating food.  I got to sneak some of the food they were eating.

Terry spent the night on the couch.  I didn't bug him as he looked like he was really comfortable.

So with all the stuff that is still under that tree, there was only a few items that was for me.  Both Tonya and the Big Guy were really generous with the stuff they purchased.

The Big Guy got a set of Batman slippers.  I will NOT be chewing on them, as he has taught me, his slippers are NOT chew toys.  Now, Tonya's slippers.  Well, she hasn't really taught me this.

Well, I've got to go chew on my new tire.  I will see if I can't get the Big Guy to take some pics of my new tire.

Bye bye fur now.

24/Dec/17 Christmas Eve

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

Well there is a lot of stuff that is under the tree.

One interesting one that's on the coffee table, is this.

It's a nut cracker.

You lift the tail, put the nut in the "hands" and then lower the tail.  It should open the nut.  So far, they haven't tested it to see if it's just junk or not.

Today, they are going to be hosting the family.  So Tonya is going to be putting out a bunch of food and everyone is going to be coming over.  Not sure if they will be opening their presents or not.  Guess we are going to find out.

We had a bunch of rain last night.  So right now, no snow on the ground.  But it is supposed to snow tomorrow.  So we will be having a White Christmas after all.

We had a visitor last night.  Her name is Meghan.  She is nice.  She said that I am intimidating.  But that's because of my size.  I'm not a small dog.

I'm not sure if the Big Guy is going to be watching any Christmas specials on TV.  I know that his Star Trek will be on again starting next week.  He is anxious to see where the show is "going".  So far, it's not like any Star Trek that he has seen so far.  It's more like Battlestar Galicatica.

Well, gotta go nap for a bit.  Gotta rest up before the family arrives later on and I will not be getting any sleep then.

Bye bye fur now.

23/Dec/17 wearing my poinsettia collar

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

The Big Guy will NOT let me wear this collar in public.  He said it's fine while I'm at home, but I am not going outside with this on.  In the center of the flower is a small bell.  So I jingle a bit when I am walking around the house.

Yesterday I went for a walk and while we were out, we stopped at this Fishing Supplies store that is on Commercial St.  Tonya found the Big Guy a new jacket.  It has reflective stripes on it.  But the Big Guy is not allowed to have it till XMas.  He seems fine with waiting for it.

After a my walk, Tonya and the Big Guy went shopping.  But after that...  I got to go to the Dog Park.  I had a great time there.  Although there was some smaller dog that kept trying to hump me.  His owner was really upset with him for doing that.

When we left, we went to the Four Paws Pet Spa.  I was fine with this until the Big Guy opened the door to the spa.  I could smell the fear off of other dogs that had been in their.  It took a lot of effort on his part to get me into the room.

Once I was in their, I went into the tub without any problems.  He took his jacket off and washed me.  Then he used the blow dryer.  But my fur wasn't all dry.  So I shook off the excess water once he let me out of the tub.  But we were leaving, so he didn't mind me doing that.  We went outside and I shook some more.

So although I thought I was being tortured, it turned out, it wasn't all that bad.  I certainly survived.

Today, we are supposed to get a LOT of rain.  So it will be an early walk, then rest and relaxation for the remainder of the day.

Bye bye fur now.
