4/Feb/17 I thought I heard a cheese wrapper

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

It is cold out for this area of Canada.  With the windchill, it is -21 outside.  That is cold for this area.  I am glad that I have a house that I share with my humans.

So the Big Guy was looking up recipes.  He is going to dehydrate head of cauliflower.  He said that he found this recipe and it looks pretty easy to follow.  We will see what he ends up with.  It could be a mess.  But if it works out, it should replace pop corn.  He will have to get more cauliflower.  He is going to see about making cauliflower patties for breakfast and then he is going to see about having mashed cauliflower to replace mashed potatoes.

Just so that you know, my humans are crazy.  They have decided to eat the Keto Way Of Eating.  They need to see if it is something that they are going to do to loose weight.

The Big Guy is going to be posting this salmon video.  It is something that he and Tonya had for lunch yesterday.

But last night, Tonya made this chicken wings with some sort of dip.  It had blue cheese in it.  The Big Guy wasn't holding his breath on it, thinking that it may be really strong.  But it turned out really good.  Big Guy said that it's a repeater recipe.  

Yes, when ever Tonya and the Big Guy say that it's a repeater, it means that it was really good.  If they say that you don't have to make that again, it means it was pretty bad and they didn't like it.  They are both pretty honest with each other when it comes to that.

3/Feb/17 got my eye on you

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

The Big Guy has to go for his annual blood work.  He will go to the hospital and wait in line with a bunch of other people who have been sent there by their Doctor.  He will be giving vials of blood.  He will pee in a cup and they will test that.  Then they will listen to his heart through this little machine for about 30 seconds.  He said they call it an EKG.  Then they will send him home to do what he calls "The Poopy" test.  He will not be able to eat meat for 3 day prior and 3 days during.  The Big Guy is NOT a fan of "The Poopy" test as he LOVES his beef.

So right now, the Big Guy can't have his morning coffee.  Isn't he is a great mood.  Oh well, it will be over soon enough and he will have his coffee and something to eat.

The Big Guy plans to make these cauliflower patties for breakfast tomorrow.  Not sure what they are going to look like.  Most times when he does stuff like that, if it doesn't go so well, he throws it in the garbage.  But he claims that the recipe he found looks really easy.  So I guess we will see.

Tonya had the day off yesterday and she got her back tooth fixed.  It broke about 3 weeks ago.  But the dentist was able to fix it.  She thought that they may have to pull it.  But they didn't.  She is pretty happy about that.

Well, the Big Guy has to get his Salmon ready for lunch.  It doesn't take much to cook up.  But there is honey in the recipe.  So he is wondering how it is going to taste without the honey.  Guess he will see.

2/Feb/17 Ground Hog Day, well hello Bill Murray

Good morning Cape Breton.

Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.

It's throw back Thursday.  Did you say...  awww when you see my picture?

Was I ever this small?  Well, I guess I was.  

So the snow is falling outside.  Not a lot.  Just enough to make everything white again.  It looks like we are supposed to get a light dusting of snow each day now for the next week or more.  Of course the Big Guy isn't too upset that he isn't able to use his snow blower like he did before.  He said that if it would never snow again, it would be too soon for him.  You can tell he doesn't enjoy winter too much.

The Big Guy was just commenting on the size of my tail, saying how big it is.  When I wag my tail, I can really move stuff out of the way.

I think that he is trying to figure out if he could use my tail as a feather duster.

Not much going on in my life.  I eat, I sleep, I pester Tonya.

Tonya is on day's off today.  So I am sure that I will annoy her a lot later on.

1/Feb/17 can we go for a drive now?

Tonya got a new cell phone and this was the first picture that she took of me.  I am just so handsome sitting at the back door waiting to go out.

The Big Guy was speaking to an old friend that he knew a long time ago.  They were in High School, Sea Cadets and even the Naval Reserves.  But like a lot of friends do, they parted ways.  They met up again on Facebook and his friend called last night.  They want to come down to Cape Breton this summer.  I know that I will be excited to meet an old friend of his.

As the Big Guy was putting me outside this morning, he noticed that my dog tag is missing.  So he is going to have to go find it later this morning.  There is no snow on the ground, so it should be easy to find.

My non-furry brother, Marc is on a Keto Diet.  Since the Big Guy can cook and is willing to try new recipes, Marc said that if he makes stuff and posts the videos, he knows that people will be excited to watch him cook stuff.  I guess the Keto Diet is pretty boring.  You get to eat a lot of meat.  So far, I can't see what is wrong with this.  I LOVE meat, but I get a lot of kibble.

We're going to see if he can stick with it and loose some weight.
