Good morning Cape Breton.Maximus Handsomius here from my forever home.
So yesterday the Big Guy, my non-furry Memere and Fran took off without me for a drive. They went to all kinds of places. They went to Hotel North to look at Marine Atlantic, then to Sydney Mines to see where Jason was taking the drone pictures.
They drove past the Stone Church by Victoria Mines. Also pasted through New Waterford to see the windmill farm at Lingan.
They got to see Cape Breton University.
From there, they went to see where the Coast Guard College is, and then Sydport. They went to see the world's largest fiddle. But there was a cruise ship in, so they could only see it from the boardwalk.
Then they went to see the Tar Ponds. Fran really wanted to see Marion Bridge and the Mira River. Then off to Louisbourg Lighthouse. They could see the fort from there, but didn't go there.
They drove all the way to Christmas Island to mail a couple envelopes to themselves.
There was some folks that did Amazing Race Canada, well they got to see a few of the places.
I am sure that the Big Guy would have driven them around any place they wanted to go see.
I got to stay home with Tonya. She wanted to clean the house. I got to nap a lot. They had hot dogs for supper. Imagine that. Here I am a dog and they were eating hot dogs.
So I got a new trick. I am chewing on the fire logs that the Big Guy has stored up next to the deck. I wonder if he is going to move them some place else. That would be something that he would do.
Bye bye for now.
Good morning Cape Breton.

So they finally arrived and I was able to play with a new toy that my non-furry Memere brought me. It is an empty Sunlight dish detergent bottle. It's still out on the deck. I have chewed on it for hours now.
It isn't the expensive toys that get my attention, but the ones that makes a lot of noise. I really like those.
The Big Guy is supposed to take my non-furry Memere and her friend, Fran, to go see stuff around Cape Breton today. They will probably be gone for a couple of hours. But they will be back and I can play with them again.
Fran is really nice and she isn't scared of big dogs. I was really good. I didn't jump. I didn't nip. I wanted to lick Memere's hands, but she said no. She is worried that when I get older, I will drool a lot. Guess we will see if I do or not.
Have you ever noticed... a Chihuahua looks like a dog that is still far far away.
So they had orangsicle cheesecake last night for desert. Well some of the crumbs fell to the floor. Guess who got the crumbs. Tell me I will not have cheese cake...
Did you see my special edition post from yesterday. Jason had his drone flying around with my legs attached. They look GREAT.
Bye bye for now.

This is a special edition! The drone has been tested and it will fly with my "legs".
Ariel shots provided by Jason Hatcher. Shots of Sydney Mines and area.
The Big Guy better get his videos together of me jumping. That shouldn't be too hard. If anything, he is trying to get me to jump less.

We decided to eat outside last night. They had onion rings with chicken wings while I had kibble and water. But as you can see by this feeding station, my head isn't down when I eat. I could never lay down to eat at this station. I would starve. So I have to stand to eat.
You can see Tonya is loading up my treat ball. She cross threaded it for a bit. So I had to be patient while she figured it out. Then I was able to roll it across the deck and get my treats as they fell out of the ball.
Last night, the Big Guy got after me. I wanted up on the love seat so that I could see outside. Well he wasn't impressed with what I wanted. I've seen videos that he watches and the other owners let their doggies on their furniture. So why not me?
What do you call a dog magician?
A Labracadabrador.
Ba Dum Tiss!
I know, not one of my better jokes. I'm not a Labrador Retriever.
Today my non-furry memere is coming for a visit. She will be here around supper time. I don't know how to tell time so well, so it's going to be a long wait, that's for sure.
Bye bye for now.
